  • Publication number: 20100064007
Abstract: Systems and methods automatically obtain contents and display the contents on location-specific display screens, based on content attributes associated with the screens. Associating content attributes (“tags”) with the screens allows administrators to specify the types of contents desired for display on the screens. For example, an establishment that caters to customers of a particular demographic (such as 21-27 year old singles, families with children, fans of rock-and-roll music, “bikers,” sports fans or ice cream lovers) may associate one or more content attributes (such as “dating,” “Disney,” “Led Zeppelin,” or “Red Sox”) with its display screen. The system then automatically obtains contents based on the attribute(s) and displays the contents on the screen. Patrons with mobile telephones or web-based users may send text messages for display on the screen or play interactive games displayed on the screen, as described in the incorporated patent application.

  • Publication number: 20100018698
Abstract: A tubing centralizing apparatus has a centralizer body including opposing end portions, a central passage extending through the opposing end portions, and a plurality of apertures extending therethrough between its exterior side surface and the central passage. The apertures are uniformly spaced about a longitudinal axis of the central passage. Bow springs are mounted on the exterior side surface of the centralizer body such that a central portion of each one of the bow springs is bowed away from the centralizer body. The tubing sub is slideably positioned within the central passage of the centralizer body. One of the tubing joint collars is attached to each end portion of the tubing sub. The tubing joint collars and the centralizer body are jointly configured such that the tubing joint collars engage the centralizer body for constraining the tubing sub within the central passage of the centralizer body.

  • Patent number: 7634069
Abstract: A mobile telephone which can supply or post ‘pre-answer’ information which the device owner considers of relevance to a potential call recipient. This information enables a potential call recipient to be given useful information about a potential call before actually answering that call. The information is dynamic, unlike Caller ID information. Examples include: information about the subject of an intended voice call, a mood, a current activity, part or whole of a schedule of meetings or events, information about the urgency of an intended voice call, personal information, expected call duration, commercial inducements to a consumer to answer a call (special offers, loyalty points etc.), location information.

  • Publication number: 20090153749
Abstract: According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method of controlling an image projector comprising a multi-color laser source, projection optics, an image sensor, and a movement detection device comprises the projection of an image onto a display surface with the image projector. During projection, a movement signal generated by movement detection device is monitored, the movement signal indicating positional displacement of the image projector. A test pattern image is projected onto the display surface using the image projector, wherein the test pattern image projection is initiated as a function of the monitored movement signal. Thereafter, the projected test pattern image is captured from the display surface using the image sensor. A comparison of projected test pattern image data and captured test pattern image data is used to modify the manner in which subsequent images are projected to correct color distortions represented in the captured test pattern image.
