  • Publication number: 20230058724
Abstract: This device, the (‘Demon’ Quantum Mechanical, (H/C)/(Propulsion) system), replaces entirely, the (antiquated system of using Cryogens for cooling, in satellite applications). This device, is the ONLY application, which uses (Quantum Mechanics) for Propulsion/Thrusting. This device is the ONLY design to use (Quantum Mechanics) to (simultaneously Heat and Cool) in any application. This device is the ONLY design to use (Quantum Mechanics) to (simultaneously Heat and Cool) and for (Propulsion) in any application, —and due to the system (operating methods) and (weightless environment), —with EXPONENTIALLY greater (fuel) efficiency. This device (extends the (working service life) of Satellites requiring cooling) from MONTHS, to 50+ YEARS/more.

  • Patent number: 8293526
Abstract: Animal cell colonies are picked up automatically by an apparatus having a picking head with a plurality of hollow pins and an integrated imager for capturing an image of adherent or non-adherent animal cell colonies held in liquid or semi-solid medium. Image processing identifies the locations of the animal cell colonies to be picked. Picking an animal cell colony is performed by aligning each of the hollow pins in turn with a target animal cell colony location, introducing the hollow pin into the medium, and aspirating the animal cell colony into the hollow pin. In the case of an adherent colony, the distal end of the pin is forced into oscillation to detach the animal cell colony prior to aspiration. The animal cell colony is dispensed into a well plate by increasing pressure in the fluid conduit.

  • Patent number: 6945779
Abstract: A tooth inclination apparatus for allowing assessment of the angle of inclination of an incisor tooth or cast thereof includes a plane element providing a flat datum surface for resting against e.g. the upper molars in the maxillary plane. From the underside of the plane element projects a protractor portion with a graduated angular scale which measures the angular deviation of an indicator pin pivoted to the plane member and moved to contact the tooth whose inclination is being measured. Other mechanical or electro-optic devices may be used to determine the inclination of the incisor relative to the datum surface.
