Abstract: A method is disclosed for address book owners to link to a publisher's contact information profile, and establish an automatic updates relationship with the publisher. Upon establishing this relationship, when a publisher modifies his or her profile to reflect updated contact information, the publisher's updated profile information may then automatically be published to an address book owner's address book so that the address book owner's contact for the publisher is automatically updated to reflect the new information in the profile. Thus, the publisher's contact in the address book owner's address book may be automatically updated as a result of a publisher updating his or her profile, and without any action on the part of the address book owner.

Abstract: Full text searching may be made available for resources stored in a database according to a database schema. A method for conducting a search on structured data using a text search engine includes the steps of: modeling a resource stored in a relational data store as a web page; providing a locator to the resource; and providing the resource in a consumable format to the text search engine. The method may include the additional steps of: receiving a search on the resource; converting the search into a converted query consumable by the search engine; and providing the converted query to the search engine.

Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatus, data structures, and computer-readable media are described which provide techniques for managing data storage. In an implementation, a method includes examining a role map to determine which of a plurality of roles are applicable to a request to interact with at least one of a plurality of items. The request is received via an application programming interface (API) that is available over a network and one or more of the items reference a respective item of data. Access to the at least one item is permitted based on a role definition which describes differing access rights available for the item based on which of the roles is applicable to the request.

Abstract: A content page is configured by a user and located on a network. Changes made to the content page are automatically communicated with notifications to a group of contacts for the user. Only contacts with permission to view the content page, or the changed content, will receive the notification and have permission to view the changes. A visual indicator notifies contacts that a content page of one of their contacts has been changed. When the visual indicator or some other contact indicator is selected by the user, a summary module can be provided. The summary module is a portal to network content, including the content page.
