  • Patent number: 11536373
Abstract: Spring energized seal assemblies each with one or two sealing elements and a canted coil spring located in a spring cavity of the sealing element or of the two sealing elements to bias an inner flange and an outer flange of the respective spring cavity away from one another. The canted coil springs can have un-conventional coil shapes with one or more straight coil segments and/or with curved connecting ends. The coils can have dimples to provide multiple biasing points. The coils can have loops. The canted coil springs with un-conventional coil shapes can be used to improve spring loading on a sealing element.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 7, 2017
Date of Patent: December 27, 2022
    Assignee: Bal Seal Engineering, LLC
Inventors: Lluis Soler, Derek Changsrivong, Peter J Balsells, Stephen Rust, Mike Foster, Tony Quach
  • Patent number: 10181668
Abstract: A dual spring contact assembly having an intermediate component between at least two canted coil springs with opposite canting angle directions for fitment between a first component and a second component. When there is relative displacement between the first and second components, the direction of movement of one of the components relative to one of the canted coil spring can always occur along the canting angle, reducing the friction between coils and component and increasing the life of the slip ring.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: January 15, 2019
    Assignee: Bal Seal Engineering, Inc.

  • Patent number: 10117366
Abstract: Seal assemblies with a seal body having an inside flange and an outside flange that are biased outwardly away from one another by a spring energizer, such as a canted coil spring or a V-spring. The seal assemblies further include EMI shielding by incorporating at least one spring energizer that provides at least part of a conductive path between a housing and a pin. The conductive path can alternatively be provided by two different spring energizers and optionally with a conductive strip or trace or via a conductive contact ring element. The present seal assemblies are usable in applications having the needle for both sealing and EMI shielding.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 14, 2016
Date of Patent: October 30, 2018
    Assignee: Bal Seal Engineering, Inc.

  • Patent number: 9195500
Abstract: A method, non-transitory computer readable medium and device for seamless storage import includes importing file system structure entries stored in one or more storage devices. A request for an operation on one of the entries in the one or more storage devices is obtained during the importing. An import status of the requested one of the entries is determined. The obtained request is processed based on the determined import status of the requested one of the entries without interrupting the importing. The requested one of the entries is updated with the storage management computing device based on the processing. An aggregation of the imported entries with the updating of the requested one of the entries is stored.

  • Publication number: 20060119041
Abstract: A promotional item has a game board having a number of rows of offset spaces. The game board has markings similar to a sport, with a starting position. A promotional image is placed on the game board. A number of game pieces are placed in one of the offset spaces. Each of the game pieces only move along a diagonal line.
