    Abstract: A vehicle seat system includes a seat back. A seat cushion is positioned proximate to the seat back. The seat cushion includes: a first side configured when upwardly directed for supporting an adult passenger; and a second side oppositely facing from the first side. The second side is configured when upwardly directed for supporting a child passenger and includes: an elevated face positioned proximate to the seat back; and a lower elevation face forward of the elevated face at a lower elevation than the elevated face when the second side is upwardly directed. The seat cushion is releasable and rotatable to configure the seat cushion with either the first side or the second side upwardly directed.

The center portion includes a center inner panel that can face a frame of the seat and a center outer panel that can to be visible within a passenger cabin of the vehicle. The center outer panel includes a flexible material and covers the center inner panel. The first and second side portions are fixed on opposite sides of the center portion. Each of the first and second side portions includes a side inner panel that can face the frame of the seat and a side outer panel that can be visible within the passenger cabin. The side outer panel includes the flexible material and covers the side inner panel. The trim component can be fixed to a back of the seat to conceal at least a portion of the frame.

A second shoulder strap extends through at least one second aperture in the seat back and is releasably connected to the multiple attachment point buckle for restraint of the child occupant. A crotch-strap extends through the seat base member and is releasably connected to the multiple attachment point buckle for restraint of the child occupant. A belt connecting member connects one of the first shoulder strap or the second shoulder strap to the seat back support structure.

    Abstract: In accordance with an exemplary embodiment, seating systems for platforms are provided. In one exemplary embodiment, the seating system includes a base component and a rotating component. The base component is fixed in position. The rotating component is configured to rotate between a first position, in which one or more occupants may sit on the seating system; and a second position, in which the rotating component may be readily removed from the seating system, without tools. The base component and the rotating have respective mating components forming one or more engagement systems that hold the rotating component into place when the rotating component is in the first position, and that allow removal of the rotating component when the rotating component is in the second position.
