  • Publication number: 20160063184
Abstract: A user device for professional workflow assistance provides decision support in the form of concise alerts in the form of immediate feedback (real-time or near real-time) analysis performed by a user device application based on locally stored rules. The decision support is rendered in a timely manner in a current session with the patient, client or customer to maintain a context of the information gathering and the concurrent consideration of the decision support provided. The decision maker need not retreat to an office or separate location for consideration and analysis of the decision support results, but instead immediately considers the application generated results on the rendering screen of the user device.

  • Publication number: 20160012030
Abstract: A data entry form rendered on a screen display is based on a user provided form such that the appearance and field positions of the screen display simulates the paper form that is familiar to the user. The rendered form identifies field positions based on a scan of the paper form, and a Graphical User Interface receives user input for attributes for each identified field. Fields are mapped to metadata for specifying the attributes, such as data type, ranges, and manner of entry. Subsequent data entry based on the generated form provides a user experience similar to the corresponding paper form for mitigating any change in workflow or thought process based on the form. In this manner, a repeatable processes which can be reduced to templated data entry may be transformed to electronic forms without deviating from the visual cues afforded by the paper forms that the office staff and professionals have become accustomed to.

  • Publication number: 20160012015
Abstract: A tablet based application provides a reporting and analytic tool for increasing data liquidity for quick and complete access allows query and analytic reporting using a screen form modeled after the paper form or other templated data arrangement used to enter the data. Users need not learn a new interface or form structure, but specify query data from the same format upon which the data was entered, facilitating association by visual cues from the form layout and arrangement of fields. Users generate custom, or ad-hoc reports by accumulating a set or reporting fields by visual selection and clicking on the form image representing the entry of the data sought, and multiple forms may be included in the same analytic or query request to focus on specific data items.

  • Patent number: 7110955
Abstract: An apparatus for automating billing reimbursement includes an electronic handheld processing device that displays patient demographic information, billing codes and guideline information. The physician selects patient information and is able to sort the patient information by different categories. The physician, after examination of the patient, inputs a billing code which is outputted to an interface device for distribution to an information system for providing medical bills.
