The sheet material includes plurality of equidistant markings disposed along a longitudinal axis of the sheet material. The plurality of equidistant markings serves as indicators for equidistant placement of a plurality of posts of the fence, thereby assisting in correct installation of the fence. In one embodiment, the sheet material includes a biodegradable material. In another embodiment, the sheet material includes a weed-controlling agent.
