Abstract: A control cable end connector offering positive locking and positive sealing features for control cable connection. A connector feature is molded on the cable sleeve becoming a permanent part of the cable assembly. An acoustic cup is positioned on the connector which slides along the connector and includes two cantilevered locking hooks. The connector locates through an opening in a substantially flat portion of a wall by capturing the wall between two flanges. The acoustic cup seals the end connector area of the wall and snaps into the substantially flat wall providing a positive lock against the removal of the connector.

Abstract: A support device for a vehicle headlamp that includes a ring-like retainer member having three spaced rearwardly extending arms each of which is provided with a spring clip for contacting and maintaining the headlamp within the retainer member.

Abstract: A wrap around type hood for a vehicle engine compartment has integral fenders giving a rear edge which is curved and does not lie in a plane. A roller hinge mechanism guides the rear edge of the hood from a closed position upwardly and forwardly to an intermediate open position from where it can be rotated to a fully open position without binding the rear edge. The combined guiding support and secondary latch of the invention guides the front of the hood during this movement. A forwardly sloped open slot in a guide bracket mounted to the front of the engine compartment guides a pin on the front of the hood to guide the hood to the intermediate open position. A spring biased keeper lever pivoted to the guide bracket stays with the pin as it moves to keep it secondarily latched to the vehicle. When the keeper lever is pushed back, the hood is released to be rotated to the fully open position.

Abstract: A support device for a vehicle headlamp that consists of a wire shaped so as to have a gripping engagement with the peripheral portion of the headlamp adjacent the lens and that includes formed wire sections which rotatably carry adjusting screws which connect the support device to a frontal portion of the vehicle.

Abstract: A vehicle window wiping apparatus includes a guide arm and a wiper arm telescopable to simultaneously extend or retract the wiper arm on the guide arm as the wiper arm is driven by an endless belt drive means which carries an end of the wiper arm in a noncentric path with relation to the rotary axis of oscillation of the guide arm.
