  • Publication number: 20240189254
Abstract: A solution for ocular application containing xylitol. Topically applied to the eye, the solution improves the quality of the ocular tear film, and reduces the incidence of infectious organisms, including bacterial abnormal colonization, acanthamoeba and an assortment of infective virus types including SARS, SARS-Cov-2. The same solution may also be applied to eyes of contact lens wearers and within the contact lens storage solutions to reduce the incidence of infection and in eyes with sicca syndromes demonstrating tear film poor lipid quantity or quality with meibomian gland dysfunction and in eyes demonstrating evidence of inflammation of the margins or posterior lid mucosal surfaces indicating blepharitis. The solution may be also applied to the lid margins with heat and ocular scrubbing massage in the case of eyes demonstrating blepharitis.

  • Publication number: 20230076264
Abstract: A system and method for rendering tactile interaction using an ultrasound transducer array by receiving a target field; computing one or more paths of pressure focal points of varying intensity such that the difference between a result field produced by the one or more paths of pressure focal points and the target field is minimized; and controlling an ultrasound transducer array in spatiotemporal modulation mode to simultaneously render the one or more computed paths of pressure focal points. The system and method for rendering tactile interaction using an ultrasound transducer array accurately represents dynamic interactions produced in a virtual environment with a varying pressure or force field.

  • Publication number: 20070146631
Abstract: With distortion data that is derived from an interactive test of a patient, the monocular two dimensional, binocular two dimensional and three dimensional environment may be reconstructed from the patient's point of view. This process involves projection of the three dimensional dataset onto each binocular two dimensional retinal plane. The planar data is perturbed by the documented distortions and two thee dimensional datasets are reconstructed. Visualization of the reconstructed datasets allows a third party, such as an ophthalmologist or family member to observe the perturbations that the patient sees.

  • Publication number: 20040027538
Abstract: An automated system for assessing the visual capability of a human subject under a wide range of optical environmental conditions including low illumination, glare, low and high contrast, and off axis events, which, used over time during the administration of a bio-effective compound, permits even subtle changes in visual capability of a subject to be detected.
