  • Patent number: 10710405
Abstract: A telescoping axle arrangement is provided for an agricultural applicator having a frame supported above a ground surface by a ground engaging wheel operatively connected to the frame by the telescoping axle arrangement. A tubular first axle element, and a second axle element slidingly inserted into the first element operatively connect the wheel to the frame, and provide extension and retraction of the axle along a longitudinal axis of the axle. A cylindrical tunnel passing through the first element limits the extent to which the second axle element can be inserted into the first axle element. An inner end of the second axle element is contoured to extend at least partly under the cylindrical tunnel in the second axle element when the second axle element is inserted at a maximum allowed depth into the first axle element.

  • Patent number: 10428974
Abstract: A routing and securing system with adjacent components is provided to route and secure hoses, lines, and harnesses of vehicles in a manner that is repeatable and straightforward and can be documented. The routing and securing system uses a base block provided in a first plane and a retainer, or wrap, provided in a second plane. The base block provides concave receptacles, or slots, for seating elongate routed components in the first plane, while the retainer overlaps the elongate routed components in the second plane to secure the elongate routed components to their respective concave receptacles. A mounting bracket may be used to mount the routing and securing system to the vehicle, and may also be used to join a pair of routing and securing systems together.

  • Publication number: 20060001251
Abstract: A side mounted storage device is provided for an agricultural applicator having a frame assembly in support of a drive unit or engine configured to drive the agricultural applicator on a plurality of wheel assemblies in a forward direction of travel. The storage device includes a fixed storage compartment and a pivotal storage compartment. The pivotal storage compartment is pivotally attached at the forward end of the fixed storage compartment with respect to the forward direction of travel of the agricultural applicator. From a closed position, the pivotal storage compartment is coupled to swing in a radially outward direction with respect to the frame assembly of the agricultural applicator. In a preferred embodiment, the pivotal storage compartment in the open position provides an operator on the ground with ready access to the engine.
