  • Publication number: 20240077007
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a detection system for detecting a failure in a fluid path of a fluid system, the detection system including: at least one pipe comprising a pipe wall which defines a fluid path for the transfer of fluid and at least one electrically conductive element extending along the at least one pipe and which forms an electrical signal path for a first electrical signal which indicates a state of the at least one pipe; and, an electrical terminal electrically connected to the at least one electrically conductive element so that the first electrical signal is transmitted to the electrical terminal via the electrical signal path.

  • Patent number: 8196820
Abstract: A self-service terminal comprising a plurality of devices is described. The devices comprise: a racking handle for moving that device from an operational position to a maintenance position; a primary visual identifier (such as a bright color) associated with the racking handle, where the primary visual identifier is common for all of the racking handles and is not used for any part of the device except a racking handle; and a secondary visual identifier associated with any other parts of the device that may be safely touched, where the secondary visual identifier is visually distinct (for example, by using a different color) from the primary visual identifier.

  • Publication number: 20070266912
Abstract: A compact height adjustable work station utilizes a unique combination of support arms and linkages to achieve greater strength and a greater range of tabletop height adjustment from a smaller form factor than is found anywhere in the industry. The method for adjusting the work surface height is user operated and pressure assisted whereby the user requires a minimal effort to physically lift or lower the work surface to the desired tabletop height. The pressure assist can be variably located to counterbalance different tabletop weights. For automatic counterbalancing, an elongated extensible gas spring piston-cylinder is adapted to be locked in any of its continuous range of infinite adjusted positions. Manual unclamping frees the counterbalancing gas spring for readily changed, manual tabletop height level adjustment. A mid-range level or a high tabletop level may be achieved, adjusted by unclamping and minimum manual force.

  • Publication number: 20070180142
Abstract: A network service management server is provided for an internal network operated by a multi-system operator, at a selected location of the internal network, such as a network head-end. The server registers a client connecting to one of the network entities. It also assigns to the client an address associated with the one of the network entities to which the client is connected. The server manages network services by handling information relating to network services for the client based on the assigned address. The server can handle network services for the client based solely on the clients assigned IP address.

  • Publication number: 20050103844
Abstract: A self-service terminal incorporates a card reader module housing (100) arranged for attachment to or incorporation in the fascia (16) of the self-service terminal. The housing (100) has a card entry slot (20), a transparent portion (102) and an internal security marking (104) that is visible through the transparent portion (102) of the housing (100).

  • Patent number: 6593915
Abstract: A self-service terminal (10) such as an ATM has a secure enclosure (12) and an external column (14) extending from the secure enclosure (12). The column (14) has a bore (54) for routing electrical conductors and one or more access slots (58) connecting the bore (54) with an external surface (52) of the column (14). A module (40,42) is mounted onto the column (14) using a bracket (50) defining a channel (94) through which the module's electrical conductors (88) are routed. The electrical conductors (88) are routed from the bracket (50) to a central processor within the secure enclosure (12) by means of an access slot (58) and the bore (54). The modules (40,42) are height adjustable relative to the secure enclosure (12).

  • Patent number: 6241151
Abstract: A self service terminal (10) is described. The SST 10 has a front portion (16) including a user interface (24) located within a fascia (18). The fascia (18) has a concave inner surface (61) which defines a privacy area (20) and which reduces reflection of sound. The inner surface (61) is bounded by one or more extremities (54,56) which project out from the terminal (10). The fascia (18) has a canopy (21) which extends beyond the projecting extremities. In use, the user places his head within or in proximity to the privacy area (20) for increased privacy when using the terminal (10).
