Abstract: A trench system includes a trench body operable to contain chemicals without corroding. The trench body includes a trench floor having a longitudinal length and a lateral width. A pair of first and second sidewalls is welded to opposing longitudinal perimeters of the trench floor and extend vertically upwards therefrom. Wall support ribs are attached to outer surfaces of the first and second sidewalls and extend laterally outward and vertically upward therefrom. Floor support ribs are attached to an outer surface of the trench floor and extend vertically downward therefrom. A vertically extending anchoring slot is attached to an outer distal edge of each wall support rib. Each anchoring slot is configured to receive a metal reinforcement bar therethrough at an acute angle to the wall support ribs. The metal reinforcement bars are operable to reinforce concrete poured around the outer surfaces of the first and second sidewalls.

Abstract: A method of constructing a superconducting switch includes depositing a thin sacrificial layer on top of a substrate. The sacrificial layer is patterned to remove portions of the sacrificial layer except at a first portion of the substrate. A superconducting metal layer is patterned on top of the substrate and on top of the sacrificial layer. The superconducting metal layer is patterned to form a superconducting metal line over the sacrificial layer. The patterned sacrificial layer is etched from under the superconducting metal line to release the metal line from the substrate.

Abstract: A method of constructing a superconducting switch includes providing a substrate. A first superconducting metal line is fabricated on the substrate, wherein the superconducting metal line has a left portion, a right portion, and a center portion patterned along a first crystalline direction of the substrate. One or more etch release holes are provided in the center portion of the first superconducting metal line.

Abstract: A humidification system can include a heater base, a humidification chamber, and a breathing circuit. A cartridge can be removably coupled to the heater base. The cartridge can include various sensors, probes, sensor wire connectors, heater wire connectors, and/or other features. The cartridge can include features configured to mate with corresponding features on the humidification chamber and the heater base. The cartridge includes a memory, such as an EEPROM, or other suitable storage device. When the cartridge is installed on the heater base, the memory is electrically connected to a processor and/or memory of the heater base. Various models of cartridges can be produced for use with different humidification chambers, breathing circuits, and/or therapies. A connector can be configured to couple an inspiratory conduit to an outlet port of the humidification chamber. The connector can provide a pneumatic connection to the outlet port and an electrical connection to the cartridge.

The adapter includes a flange portion that extends generally radially outward from a central aperture and a hollow male connector extending from the flange portion and coupled with a correspondingly-shaped female connector of the tubing assembly or the mask. The mask is coupled to the tubing assembly via the adaptor, and the tubing assembly, the mask, and the adapter define a pathway structured to conduct the flow of the positive pressure breathing gas to the airway of the patient.

Abstract: Examples of augmented reality (AR) environment control advantageously employ multi-factor intention determination and include: performing a multi-factor intention determination for summoning a control object (e.g., a menu, a keyboard, or an input panel) using a set of indications in an AR environment, the set of indications comprising a plurality of indications (e.g., two or more of a palm-facing gesture, an eye gaze, a head gaze, and a finger position simultaneously); and based on at least the set of indications indicating a summoning request by a user, displaying the control object in a position proximate to the user in the AR environment (e.g., docked to a hand of the user). Some examples continue displaying the control object while at least one indication remains, and continue displaying the control object during a timer period if one of the indications is lost.

Abstract: This disclosure describes a system that allows a user to control the audio of a headset from a game controller. Audio controls are displayed on a screen of the game controller. In addition to the game controller, the disclosed system may comprise an app, on a device external from the game controller, that is also able to display the audio controls. The audio controls may be updated via the game controller or the app while the game controller and headset are being used.

Abstract: Examples of an exercise mat having a three-dimensional surface texture and methods for making same are disclosed. The exercise mat may have a first malleable layer formed from a polyurethane material with an elastic fabric material attached to a lower surface thereof. A second layer may be attached to the elastic fabric material of the first layer.
