Abstract: A pseudo micro computed tomography (CT-like) image of a porous material is produced. A chemistry-based 3D structure of a porous material system is generated, and a Connolly surface for the 3D structure is determined. A volume field of the 3D chemistry-based structure is calculated from the Connolly surface. A text-format file layer having layer by layer information of the volume field is generated. The text-format layer file is converted into a CT-like binary image file in the RAW format. The binary image file is converted to a black and white or grayscale images. A pore size analysis (PSA) simulation is performed to produce grain images and pore images for the porous material system.

The secure token file is referenced in the distributed ledger enabling two or more computing resource systems (e.g., storage systems) to at least one of authenticate and authorize the given entity in accordance with the secure token file.

Abstract: An apparatus comprises a processing platform implementing a data set discovery engine and a data set valuation engine. The data set discovery engine is configured to generate data set similarity measures each relating a corresponding one of a plurality of data sets to one or more other ones of the plurality of data sets. The data set valuation engine is coupled to the data set discovery engine and configured to generate valuation measures for respective ones of at least a subset of the plurality of data sets based at least in part on respective ones of the data set similarity measures generated by the data set discovery engine. For example, the data set valuation engine may generate the valuation measure for a given data set as a function of valuation measures previously generated for respective other data sets determined to exhibit at least a threshold similarity to the given data set.

Abstract: An apparatus comprises at least one processing device having a processor coupled to a memory. The processing device is configured to implement a first ledger node of a first cloud. The first ledger node of the first cloud is configured to communicate over one or more networks with a plurality of additional ledger nodes associated with respective additional clouds. The first ledger node is further configured to obtain a transaction associated with a valuation of a data asset. The first ledger node is further configured to broadcast the valuation transaction to the additional ledger nodes. A cryptographic block characterizing at least the valuation transaction is generated and entered into a blockchain distributed ledger collectively maintained by the first and additional ledger nodes. The first and additional ledger nodes collectively maintain the blockchain distributed ledger on a peer-to-peer basis without utilizing a centralized transaction authority.

Abstract: Data set valuation techniques are provided. For example, a request is obtained from a client to utilize one or more cloud computing services managed by at least one service provider. A valuation is determined for delivering the one or more requested cloud computing services to the client. The valuation determination includes determining a valuation of one or more data sets associated with the one or more cloud computing services.

Abstract: A distributed ledger is maintained in accordance with an enterprise. The distributed ledger includes a plurality of nodes such that one or more entities internal to the enterprise and one or more entities external to the enterprise each have access to at least one of the plurality of nodes. Electronic agreements (for example, product/service licenses) between at least a portion of the one or more entities internal to the enterprise and at least a portion of the one or more entities external to the enterprise are managed in association with the distributed ledger. Management includes generating and recording transactions associated with the electronic agreements on the distributed ledger to enable the one or more entities internal to the enterprise and the one or more entities external to the enterprise permissioned access to one or more of the recorded transactions.

Abstract: A manifest for an automated system is generated, wherein the manifest comprises a record of a plurality of algorithms configured to be used in operation of the automated system. An operational audit branch is generated from the manifest in response to execution of one or more algorithms of the plurality of algorithms. The generation of the operational audit branch comprises recording one or more inputs used by the one or more algorithms, and recording one or more outputs generated by the one or more algorithms.

Abstract: A set of valuations is obtained for a set of assets of a given enterprise. The enterprise has a plurality of groups associated therewith, and each of the valuations is computed using a multi-dimensional model configured to generate cross-group impact values with respect to each asset and two or more of the groups associated with the enterprise. One or more storage locations within a storage infrastructure associated with the enterprise to store the assets are determined based on the valuations for the assets. For example, the one or more storage locations may be determined based on a content balancing process that computes an optimal storage location to store each asset in order to minimize overall cost to the enterprise.

Abstract: At least one application data set stored in a data repository is obtained. The application data set is analyzed to generate at least one metadata node. The at least one metadata node is combined with at least one other related node to form a hierarchical data structure. For example, a method includes implementing a network comprising a plurality of network devices which collectively generate data that is utilized by a computing system to execute an application, and implementing a centralized security system as a computing node within the network to manage security operations within the network and to establish secured and trusted communications between the network devices and the computing system.
