  • Patent number: 10701931
Abstract: The present invention relates to formulations useful for affecting the behaviour of mosquitoes. More specifically, the present invention relates to formulations for activating mosquitoes such as for attracting mosquitoes. The present invention further provides methods and dispensers incorporating these formulations. The formulation comprises a thio compound as the active, preferably a thioether such as allyl methyl sulphide (AMS), 1-methylthio-propane, 3-methylthio-propanol (MTPL), (E)-1-methylthio-1-propene, (Z)-1-methylthio-1-propene, or derivatives thereof.

  • Publication number: 20160060642
Abstract: The present invention relates to a yeast cell expressing a nematode G protein coupled receptor (GPCR), whereby ligand binding to the GPCR results in a detectable signal. In particular, the present invention relates to a yeast library expressing a range of different GPCRs, and to methods of screening said library.

  • Publication number: 20060186884
Abstract: A trailer for housing a mobile MRI system has magnetic shielding in the form of a plurality of sheets of magnetic material which are supported within the trailer, by a rigid supporting structure or frame. The layers are arranged in a stacked or laminar configuration with the laterally longest layer disposed inward of the remaining layers, such that the width of the gap between that layer and the exterior walls of the trailer at the lateral extremities of the shielding is greater than its width in a central area. The rigid frame maintains the gap and prevents contacting of the shielding and the trailer walls.

  • Publication number: 20060185371
Abstract: A quench line and exit plenum configuration for a mobile MRI system housed in a transportable trailer includes an exit plenum with deflector plates that direct the quench flow of cold gases upward and away from surrounding objects. In addition, the plenum also includes dual vents to facilitate optimum gas flow and water drainage. The deflector plates are configured to utilize the Venturi effect to create an auxiliary flow of the ambient air to help deflect the flow of cold gases away from nearby pedestrians, when the magnet is quenching, and to enable service personnel to fill the magnet safely while in the vicinity of the exit plenum.

  • Publication number: 20050054680
Abstract: The present invention provides compositions and methods for controlling an helminth or arthropod pest. In a preferred embodiment of the invention provided herein, the compositions comprise compounds which alter the 5-HT3 receptor of the pest. Also claimed are various esters of N-methyl 8-azabicyclo[3.2.1]octan-3-ol (tropan-3-yl esters) and an assay for identifying and/or assessing a helminth and/or arthropod control compound by determining the ability of a candidate compound to modulate the activity of a helminth or arthropod 5-HT3 receptor.
