  • Patent number: 10077904
Abstract: There is provided a wood pellet burner assembly for a wood pellet boiler, not shown. There is a fixed and easily removable fuel apertured grate mounted above and spaced apart from a base wall forming part of a main support enclosure. A movable scraper subassembly carrying an apertured flame tube is provided which can be moved in and out of the main support enclosure to perform a scraping action on the fixed fuel apertured grate to deliver ash and clinker which have not fallen through the grate during combustion off the grate out of the main support enclosure. This cleaning operation can be carried out at suitable preset time intervals.

  • Patent number: 10006627
Abstract: A dual fuel boiler has a granular fuel burner and a fluid fuel burner. The fluid fuel burner is movable between a retracted stored position at a side of a combustion chamber-of the boiler and an extended operative position in which it extends out over a brazier of the granular fuel burner. Thus in the operative position substantially all of the flame and hot combustion gases generated by the fluid fuel burner in use are directed away from the brazier to prevent damage to the brazier.

  • Patent number: 9097421
Abstract: There is illustrated a fuel fired brazier for an enclosed granular fuel burning boiler. The brazier has an apertured grate-like brazier base. The brazier base is moved by an actuator from an operative position, retaining fuel in the brazier to a discharge position where ash can fall through a hole. At the same time, fragmentation means, formed by crushing teeth, move across the brazier to trap, for example, a large piece of clinker, between it and the opposed distal wall of the brazier.
