  • Publication number: 20250226985
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for phishing-resistant authenticator enrollment are described. An authentication service may encrypt a token that is usable for an initial enrollment of a user in an authenticator application. The authentication service may transmit a first payload to the user. The first payload includes at least the encrypted token. An authenticator application may receive, from the user, a request to initiate the initial enrollment of the user on a device. The request may include the encrypted token. The authentication service may enroll the user in the authenticator application on the device based on decryption of the encrypted token using an encryption key on a near-field communication (NFC) device.

  • Patent number: 12149530
Abstract: An authentication system determines a risk level for a client device impersonating a client device enrolled in authentication services by comparing device metadata for the impersonating client device to device metadata for the enrolled client device. As part of enrolling the enrolled client device, the authentication system associates one or more authentication credentials with the enrolled client device. In order to authenticate access requests associated with a client device identified as the enrolled client device, the authentication system obtains an authentication token from the client device generated using the authentication credentials and also obtains device metadata corresponding to the client device. Based on the device metadata comparison during authentication, the authentication system detects device metadata anomalies and uses detected device metadata anomalies to determine a risk level for the client device.

  • Publication number: 20240364535
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for process verification are described. An authenticator application of a device may receive, from an authenticating application of the device, a first request to establish a network connection between the authenticator application and the authenticating application. The first request may identify a port associated with the network connection. The authenticator application may receive a second request from the authenticating application to authenticate an identity of a user. The authenticator application may identify a process used to establish the network connection between the authenticator application and the authenticating application on the port. The authenticator application may obtain a signature and a set of data associated with the signature based on the identified process. The authenticator application may authenticate the identity of the user based on the signature and the associated set of data.

  • Publication number: 20240163117
Abstract: An authentication system supports multi-factor authentication (MFA) when authenticating the identity of a user. A challenge-response portion of the authentication process is delegated to an MFA device-a secondary device within control of the user, but separate from the primary login device that the user is using when initiating the authentication. Communications between the MFA device and the login device are conducted using a short-range wireless communication protocol (e.g., Bluetooth™ or NFC), so that the two devices must be in close physical proximity to each other.

  • Patent number: 10941616
Abstract: A step stool having a platform having a length at least 1.5 times a length of a first step. The platform rotatably attached to a first front leg and a second front leg above the first step. The first step having a perimeter having a first side which extends down from a top of the first step. The first step having a first boss that extends outward from the first side through which a first fastener extends to attach the first front leg to the first step. The first step having a rib which extends outwards from the first side adjacent the first boss and in alignment with the first front leg when the first and second front legs and first and second rear legs are in an open position where they form a generally upside down V shape. The rib providing support to the first front leg when a cantilever type force is applied to the stepladder. A method for using a step stool.

  • Patent number: 9104807
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing symbolic information about fields, methods, and/or classes for a target device. A system and method may be used where the runtime processing is split between a host system and a target system. At the target device a test program uses a symbol not defined on the target device. A query is sent from the target device to a symbolic information source. The symbolic information source then provides the target device with information about the undefined symbol. The target device uses the information from the symbolic information source to complete the test program.

  • Patent number: 8182143
Abstract: Ambient temperature for a temperature sensor can be calculated using a mobile temperature sensor system that samples air from the boundary layer around a mobile platform and passes the air through a measurement cell containing two flush-mounted or embedded sensor elements. A common reference voltage can be applied by control circuitry to minimize drift in the sensor element readings and to calculate the ambient temperature.
