Abstract: The present invention relates to a compact omnidirectional energy harvesting system consisting of a semi-spherical (geodesic dome) shaped photovoltaic collector- and vertical-axis wind turbine, equipped with a power management system to convert, optimize and store the resulting solar, wind and auxiliary energy into electrical energy. The present invention has auxiliary energy capture ports to harvest ambient energies such as thermoelectric, piezoelectric, electromechanical, hydroelectric, rectifying antenna, electrostatic and electrochemical through plug-in modules. The resulting combined electrical energy, from all potential sources, is stored in rechargeable batteries or capacitors for eventual consumption to power lights, sensors, beacons, transmitters, cameras, wireless communications, or to provide a power supply in remote locations.
