Abstract: Adjustable add-on apparatuses for switches and associated methods are provided. In some embodiments, a float can actuate a first arm of the apparatus in response to a fluid level. The first arm can then actuate a second arm of the apparatus and, in turn, the second arm can open or close a switch, such as a micro switch. In some embodiments, the switch can be opened or closed through a lever and plunger assembly. Further, in some embodiments, apparatus can include a biasing means to bias the second arm into a first or second position without allowing it to rest in between the positions. Such apparatuses can include a micro switch or be retrofit to one. Methods of opening and closing a micro switch are also provided.

Abstract: A cradle for a metal electrode leadless face (MELF) device is provided. The cradle can include at least one pad, such as a solder pad, to be connected to a printed circuit board (PCB) or similar board. The pad can be configured to receive a MELF device. Such a configuration can improve positioning and alignment of the MELF device and prevent or reduce movement of the MELF device prior to or during soldering. The pad can include boundaries to engage the MELF device for alignment and to prevent or reduce movement. The boundaries of the pad can include inlets, extensions, troughs, borders, and/or other features to engage the MELF device. Boards including such cradles are also provided. Further, methods of installing a MELF device on a board using a cradle are also provided.

Abstract: A self-contained portable heating system to heat a stored liquid in a storage tank to a desired temperature is provided. The system can comprise operatively connected components such as a generator to power a burner that can transfer energy from a combustion product, from for example, a fuel supplied by an attached fuel tank, to a heat transfer fluid through the use of a boiler. The heat transfer fluid can transfer heat from the boiler to a heat exchanger which can then transfer heat to the stored liquid in the tank. The tank can also comprise a circulating pump that can circulate the heat transfer fluid and an expansion tank that can receive the heat transfer fluid when it expands as a result of being heated. In some embodiments, the heating components can be supplied separately from storage tank so that they can be retrofit onto an existing tank.

Information may be provided on a control panel inconveniently positioned remotely as compared with the location of the snap switch itself. This disclosure provides for an indicator of the state and operation of a snap switch, which does not require the use of instrumentation, and which is proximate the snap switch. This indicator can be used in both alternating and direct current circuits. When the common terminal of the switch is energized an associated light can provide a cue that the power is on. The state and operation indicator can also have either a light associated with the normally open terminal, a light associated with the normally closed terminal, or both. These lights can respond to indicate the state and operation of the switch.
