  • Patent number: 11490568
Abstract: row crop heads and pivoting assemblies associated with the row crop heads operable to displace a crop divider of the row crop heads during folding of a portion of the row crop head are disclosed. In some implementations, a pivoting assembly may include a first bracket coupled to a center frame of a row crop head, a second bracket coupled to a wing frame of the row crop head, and a rotatable locking component rotatably coupled to the first bracket. The rotatable locking component is operable to lock a row divider disposed at an interface between the wing frame and the center frame when the wing frame is moved from an unfolded position to a folded position relative to the center frame.

  • Patent number: 11129332
Abstract: A corn harvester includes a first stalk roll having a plurality of first blades circumferentially spaced apart by a first angle. A second stalk roll has a plurality of second blades circumferentially spaced apart by a second angle. The first and second stalk rolls are rotatable about parallel first and second axes that are separated by a centerline therebetween. In an operational state when a tip of one first blade is aligned with the centerline, a tip of one second blade is angularly offset from the centerline by a third angle. The third angle is less than 45% of the second angle. The one first blade forms a cross section perpendicular to the first axis having an altitude extending from the tip toward the first axis along a first blade altitude. The cross section of the one first blade is asymmetric about the first blade altitude.

  • Patent number: 10993373
Abstract: A row crop header for an agricultural machine harvesting a crop having stalks, such as corn. The row crop header includes a frame, a first crop row divider mounted to the frame, and a second crop row divider mounted to the frame and spaced from the first crop row divider to define a space therebetween. A row unit is disposed at the space, wherein the row unit includes a deck assembly defining a gap, the deck assembly including a compliant deck configured to adjust the gap based on contact with the stalks of the crop. The compliant deck includes a plurality of overlapping plates having edges defining the gap where the edges are configured to move responsively to varying diameters of stalks. Crops are separated from the stalks upon contact with the overlapping plates. A gathering chain moves the separated crops toward a collector.

  • Patent number: 10897846
Abstract: A harvester includes a main frame, first side frame, and a second side frame. The first and second side frames are rotatable about the main frame between a deployed position and a stowed position. A first crop divider is rotatable with respect to the first side frame to change an angle between the first crop divider and the ground. A first biasing member biases the first crop divider into the raised position. A second crop divider is rotatable with respect to the second side frame to change an angle between the second crop divider and the ground. A second biasing member biases the second crop divider into the raised position. During movement of the first and second side frames into the stowed position, the first and second crop dividers are moved into the lowered position against the biasing force of the respective biasing member.

  • Patent number: 10820512
Abstract: A stalk roll mountable to a header of an agricultural combine for rotation about a rotation axis during processing of plant stalks has an annular drum with detachable blades. The stack roll has a plurality of circumferentially spaced flutes extending in an axial direction of the rotation axis of the drum and projecting radially outwardly from the drum. The flutes define mounting surfaces along lengths of the flutes. A plurality of blades are attachable to the drum with multiple of the plurality of blades being attachable to the mounting surface of a common one of the flutes. Mounting hardware is configured to removably connect the blades to the mounting surfaces of the flutes.
