    Abstract: An apparatus and method for illuminating a banner, flag, or pennant, in addition to illuminating substantially the entire length of a support, such as a flagpole. In the preferred embodiment, a lighting element is placed inside a transparent or partially or wholly translucent support, thereby illuminating the support as well as the banner. A handheld embodiment preferably comprises a handle with a switch and finger grips.
