  • Patent number: 8731986
Abstract: A method is disclosed for co-ordinating the sending of electronic messages in such a way that a positive feedback loop is created. This is achieved by linking the messages to a form with inputs configured to facilitate submission of a greater multiple of additional addressee entries than with other known methods. Subsequent messages are optionally sent out by the submitters themselves to increase effectiveness of delivery. Financial and other incentives are proposed to motivate participants to provide inputs. The cascading chain reaction effect is modulated by the interposition of a central control server which formats the outgoing messages and extracts from them any addressees thought to have already been sent a particular periodic message, or which represent opt-outs. The control server may itself add extra addressee entries from stored databases to the outgoing messages of participants sent by them with their consent, further supporting the effect.

  • Publication number: 20080215420
Abstract: A method and system are disclosed for incorporating affirmation functions into the electronic interfaces that present media creations submitted by electronic authors. The media creations are ranked in overall prominence within the electronic interface based on affirmations of those who receive the media creation. These affirmations can be in the form of votes of approval, monetary contributions of support, or purchases of copies of the media creations. Where the affirmations are monetary these are then shared with the electronic authors as a reward. In the case of streaming media creations, the authors are given notice of their scheduled broadcast appearances to enable them to self promote to their own established audience bases, and the interface includes the capability of accessing the information associated with previous tracks played. The affirmations can also be weighted according to the number of receivers of the media creations.

  • Publication number: 20070150601
Abstract: A method and system are disclosed for increasing the yield of response to an electronic solicitation to take action by presenting direct action links within the solicitation itself. These direct action links are distinguished by the ability to initiate a transaction when a user interacts with them, without the need to search for or access any other web page or site to begin the authorization. The direct action links are themselves updated without requiring the intervention of the user. The increased marketing efficiency is further enhanced by using a software program other than a conventional internet browser or conventional email client to connect with the user. The enhanced program has the capability of storing information about the user of the system for use in authorizing future transactions, the capability of establishing a dedicated communications connection which uniquely identifies the user to another system, and the capability of remembering previous actions taken by the user.
