Patent number: 12410584Abstract: A system for dredging a seabed includes a trailing suction hopper dredger. The trailing suction hopper dredger includes a hull, a rail coupled to the hull, and a dredge arm coupled to the rail. The dredge arm includes an upper suction pipe coupled to a lower suction pipe. A pump is coupled to the upper suction pipe and is configured to draw material toward the upper suction pipe from the seabed. A visual marine life deterrent is coupled to the dredge arm and is configured to direct light toward the sea floor where marine life may be located. Another visual marine life deterrent includes a silhouette of a marine life predator. The visual marine life deterrents are configured to be observable by the marine life and cause marine life to move away from the dredge arm.Type: GrantFiled: July 16, 2020Date of Patent: September 9, 2025Assignee: Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company, LLCInventors: Paul LaMourie, Steve Becker, Justin Rensch

Publication number: 20240270323Abstract: A stand-on utility machine includes a frame having a front end and a rear end, a prime mover supported by the frame, a skid steer drive assembly operably coupled to the prime mover, and a plurality of ground engaging elements supporting the frame with respect to a ground surface and operable under the influence of the skid steer drive assembly. The machine further includes an operator interface positioned on top of a control tower and an operator platform configured to support an operator so the operator interface is accessible by the operator standing on the platform. A portion of the operator platform being rearward a portion of the ground engaging elements. The machine further includes a cab removably coupled to the frame proximate the operator interface, the cab being movable between an operating position and one or more of a storage position or a transportation position.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 9, 2024Publication date: August 15, 2024Inventors: Jeffry J. Radke, Steve Becker

Patent number: 11827045Abstract: A production line is for aerosol containers (AC) whose exterior surface is printed with inks in a predetermined pattern to form a desired design including both imagery and graphics. The line includes an inking station and a varnish application station through which aerosol containers successively pass. Inks are applied to containers at the inking station and a varnish to the inked exterior of the container at the varnish station. A LED light module (12) installed between the ink station and varnish station emits a light within a predetermined frequency range onto inked containers. The temperature produced by the LED light source is cooler than that of Uv light sources that could be used for the same purpose. The exterior surface of finished containers exhibit no lapping or discolorations and have improved scratch resistance.Type: GrantFiled: May 27, 2021Date of Patent: November 28, 2023Assignee: DS Containers, Inc.Inventor: Steve Becker

Publication number: 20200408395Abstract: A power supply system for producing a releasable and electrically conductive connection between a lamp support having at least one lamp and one line-like power supply element, has mutually congruent, current-conducting contact profiles. At least one contact profile has a permanent magnet and at least one contact profile has a permanent magnet and/or a ferromagnetic material. Sides of the contact profiles facing each other have a different polarity and/or attract each other. The power supply system comprises, in addition to the line-like and releasable power supply element that can be arranged on the contact profile, at least one rechargeable power supply, which also has a contact profile having a permanent magnet or a ferromagnetic material, which corresponds with the contact profile in a congruent, magnetically retentive manner.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 19, 2019Publication date: December 31, 2020Applicant: Light Manufacture GmbHInventor: Steve Becker
