  • Publication number: 20220355128
Abstract: In one aspect, the present disclosure relates to a method of adaptive treatment of a subject with a tumor. The method may include administering a first pulse dose of radiation to a tumor within a subject; administering a second pulse dose of radiation to the tumor, wherein the second pulse dose is administered after an observation period, the observation period having a duration of at least 7 days; and concurrently treating the subject with an immunotherapy.

  • Publication number: 20220249867
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed towards a treatment planning system for use in a stereotactic radiotherapy system. In particular, the disclosed systems and methods may be used for generating a treatment plan and/or verifying an existing treatment plan. Moreover, the disclosed systems and methods may be suitable for use in a clinical setting. A method for verifying a treatment plan of a stereotactic radiotherapy device may include the steps of receiving a treatment plan, generating a second treatment plan by applying a modified monte-carlo method to regions of interest in the treatment plan, and identifying discrepancies between the received treatment plan and the generated second treatment plan.

  • Patent number: 11058891
Abstract: A cloud-based radiation therapy treatment planning system (TPS). The TPS changes the clinical workflow of the radiotherapy treatment planning process, by increasing the mobility and computational power of the treatment planning software and hardware architecture. The system is divided into computational components. A user device includes a light and flexible user interface, while the server side entails a hospital relay server, and/or a graphics processing unit cluster server. The TPS computational architecture enables the computational power of a GPU-cluster server on a tablet, laptop, or smartphone.

  • Publication number: 20210031055
Abstract: Various examples of methods, systems, apparatus and devices are provided for MRI adaptation for radiotherapy machines. In one example, a system for MRI-guided radiotherapy can include a mounting ring and superconducting magnets. The mounting ring can be installed on a gantry of a LINAC to rotate about an isocenter of the LINAC moving with the gantry. The first and second superconducting magnet can be positioned substantially parallel to each other at a separation distance with the centers substantially aligned. The first and second superconducting magnets can provide a main magnetic field within a region of interest located between the first and second superconducting magnets. The superconducting magnets can have an aperture positioned at the center of each magnet and can allow a radiotherapy beam emitting from the gantry head to pass through the apertures. In another example, superconducting magnets can be installed at opposite ends of a LINAC gantry.
