  • Publication number: 20180028214
Abstract: A scalpel handle having knurling on the round shaft in close proximity to the surgical blade for improved precision, improved control, improved safety and reduced hand fatigue. The blade is secured by tension within the collet and is adjustable in length to provide a wide range of exposed positions for use. Embedded flat ruler markings enable accurate measurement of lesions or other tissue areas within the surgical field.

  • Patent number: 8303053
Abstract: A basket apparatus includes a basket positioned in a cabinet, a motor to drive the basket from a rearward lowered position in the cabinet to a forward directed raised position outside of the cabinet and a driver connecting the basket to the motor. In one embodiment, the driver has an extendable drive portion to allow manual movement of the basket from the rearward lowered position to a forward lowered position and a rigid drive portion to transmit force from the motor to the basket to drive the basket between the rearward lowered position and the forward directed raised position so that the basket may be pulled by a user from a rearward lowered position to a forward lowered portion and the driver enables the motor to drive the basket to the forward directed raised position outside of the cabinet.

  • Patent number: 7621605
Abstract: A cabinet having opposing side walls and an open, or openable, frontal area, provides a pair of arms pivotally engaged with each of the side walls. The arms are rotatable between a downwardly and rearwardly directed position and a forwardly directed position extensive of the frontal area for exposing a shelf or basket. Each of the pair of arms is engaged with slots in a guide plate fixed at one side of the shelf or basket, whereby the basket is driven linearly, by the arms, between a retracted position inside the cabinet to a frontal position, while the arms traverse the slots, and then the arms lift the basket in an arc to an extended and raised convenient height. Such movement is facilitated by a motor driven linear actuator or by pulleys rotated by drive cords or belts.

  • Publication number: 20090098799
Abstract: An articulated toy vehicle is capable of straight and curved motion on a surface or through water. A front and rear assemblies are supported by wheels and are joined at a steering knuckle capable of positioning the assemblies in a vertical posture when the vehicle is moving along a straight path, and positioning the rear assembly in a non-vertical posture when the vehicle is moving along a curved path. A drive motor is mounted within and engaged with one of the wheels for driving the vehicle. A steering motor is mounted within the vehicle for setting the assemblies on a selected mutual angle to provide curved and straight line motion.

  • Publication number: 20060066189
Abstract: A cabinet having opposing side walls and an open, or openable, frontal area, provides a pair of arms pivotally engaged with each of the side walls. The arms are rotatable between a downwardly and rearwardly directed position within the cabinet for storing a shelf or basket attached to the arms, and a forwardly directed position extensive of the frontal area for exposing the shelf or basket. Each of the pair of arms is, in one embodiment of the invention, engaged with a guide plate fixed at one side of a basket, whereby the basket is able to move between a retracted position inside the cabinet, and a frontally extended and raised position. Such movement is facilitated by a motor driven linear actuator. In another embodiment, the arms are spring loaded, and in a still further embodiment, the arms are connected with a linear draw slide.

  • Patent number: 6119906
Abstract: The plastic hanger is provided with a cross-bar of S-shape cross-section and a pair of clips. One jaw of each clip is integrally molded with the cross-bar while the opposed jaw is separately molded and held in place by a spring clip which biases the clamping ends of the jaws together. The cross-bar is provided with spacers at the ends to space adjacent hangers apart. The upper finger-receiving end of the jaw integrated with the cross-bar is contoured and provided with a shoulder to give the appearance that the upper end of the jaw is separate from the cross-bar.

  • Patent number: 5950883
Abstract: The side sizer system includes a marker which can be mounted on a hanger in a self-locking manner. In some embodiments, the marker is fitted over an integral rib located at a juncture between a hook and the hanger body so as to engage under the rib in a self-locking relationship. In other embodiments, the hanger is provided with inwardly directed projections while the marker is provided with outwardly directed flanges to snap under the projections. In still other embodiments, the markers are provided with internal tabs with projections for snap-fitting into recesses in upstanding walls of mounting blocks on the hanger. Two types of tools for engaging under the markers to pull the markers from the ribs include jaws for splaying the marker walls outwardly.
