Abstract: A system and method for printer language emulation includes a microcomputer as an intermediary between devices using incompatible printer languages. The microcomputer intercepts an incoming job in a first printer language. The first printer language leads to a library call, and the returned library is used to emulate the first printer language to a printer language compatible with a target device. If source device and target device use compatible printer languages, the print job may bypass the microcomputer or pass through the microcomputer to the target device.

Abstract: Systems and methods of controlling a point of sale (POS) device are provided. In one exemplary embodiment, a method comprises, by a first network node that is operationally coupled to a POS device over a one-to-one connection, with the POS device being operable to receive commands related to secured and unsecured functions of the POS device that are sent to the first network node over the network and then conditionally sent by the first network node to the POS device over the one-to-one connection, receiving, from the second network node, an indication that includes both a command related to the POS device and a network node identifier associated with the second network node so that the first network node is enabled to authorize the second network node to send the command to the POS device based on the network node identifier and an authorized network node identifier.

A transmission is operatively connected to the first roller and the second roller such that the first and second rollers roll at the same speed. The crimping assembly also includes a pneumatic motor connected to the transmission to selectively drive the transmission and roll the first and second rollers as the first and second rollers roll over the cover part to force the cover part into engagement with the underlying structure.
