    Abstract: A pet hair removal apparatus has a plurality of engagement members. The apparatus operates in a plurality of different operational engagement position in which different engagement members contact the surface to remove pet hair from the surface depending on which operational engagement position the apparatus is positioned. In one operational engagement position, two or more engagement members, that are different types of engagement members, simultaneously contact the surface. In another operational engagement position, only one type of engagement member contacts the surface to remove pet hair from the surface.

A dose setting member is rotatable in the housing in a first or second direction about the longitudinal axis. A plunger extends through a bore of the dose setting member and into a bore of a barrel engaged with the housing. Pushing on an arm extending through a slot in the housing rotates the dose setting member in the first direction. As it rotates, indicia on the dose setting member are progressively displayed through an aperture in the housing. An actuator is engaged to release the dose setting member to rotate in the second direction and this rotation causes the plunger to move axially within the barrel's bore and push the pre-set dose of fluid therefrom. The dose setting member remains in a constant axial position within the housing during rotation in each of the first and second directions.

    Abstract: A pet treat toy in the shape of a dumbbell including a spherical or cylindrical body portion flanked by disc-shaped first and second enlarged members. The enlarged members are of a greater diameter than the body portion; consequently, the enlarged members keep the body portion a distance off the ground. Each enlarged member includes a concave surface with an outermost edge that contacts the ground if the toy is upended. An opening defined in one of the body portion and concave surface is in communication with the body portion's interior cavity. Treats loaded into the cavity through the opening are kept from contacting the ground because the opening is maintained a distance off the ground by the larger diameter enlarged members or because the opening is recessed relative to the outermost edge of the enlarged member's concave surface that defines the opening.

    Abstract: Apparatus and systems are disclosed that incorporate a steerable catheter control handle for bi-directional control of a steerable catheter. The steerable catheter control handle includes a slide assembly positioned within the inner housing and operable to translate linearly therein. The control handle further includes a proximal portion of at least two control wires being positioned through the slide assembly wherein one of the at least two control wires is indirectly coupled to the slide assembly via a direction reversing element. The steerable catheter control handle has a control knob rotatably coupled to the housing for linearly translating the slide assembly, thereby enabling the slide assembly to manipulate each of the at least two control wires, effecting a change in deflection of said catheter. The slide assembly further comprises a slide limiting mechanism to restrict linear translation of the slide assembly.

The steerable catheter control system comprises a housing which defines an inner housing and a slide assembly which linearly translates within the inner housing. At least two control wires are positioned through the slide assembly wherein one of the at least two controls wires are indirectly coupled to the slide assembly via the direction reversing element. The steerable catheter control system further comprises a slack limiting element, coupled to at least one of the at least two control wires. The slack limiting element allows for frictional engagement of the control wire to limit slack. The control system includes a control knob for linearly translating the slide assembly, enabling the slide assembly to manipulate the control wires which causes a change in deflection of the steerable catheter.

    Abstract: A brushing system with a rechargeable toothbrush and associated charging components include a charging cup, a charging base, and a charger. The charging cup is seated on the charging base which in turn is engaged with the charger. The charger includes a universal serial bus (USB) receptacle that is configured to receive a USB header extending outwardly from the charging base. The charging base includes a first charging coil in a protrusion that extends upwardly from the charging base and into a receptacle in the charging cup. The charging cup includes a projection that is received in a recess of the toothbrush. The toothbrush includes a second charging coil that is brought into the proximity of the first charging coil when the toothbrush is placed in the cup. The toothbrush is charged by induction when prongs on the charger are engaged in an electrical wall outlet.

The steerable catheter control handle additionally comprises a proximal control knob that is operably coupled to the wire actuation mechanism to enable actuation of the at least two control wires. The control knob is positioned proximal to the wire actuation mechanism to enhance ease of use of the steerable catheter control handle. The rotation of the proximal knob causes movement of the wire actuation mechanism within the housing for tensioning one of the at least two control wires for causing a distal end deflection of the steerable catheter.
