  • Patent number: 11718255
Abstract: A method of operating a radar sensor system for determining a number of passengers in a vehicle passenger compartment. The radar sensor system includes at least one radar transmitting antenna and at least one radar receiving antenna and an evaluation and control unit for evaluating Doppler information from the received radar waves. The method includes: transmitting radar waves towards the vehicle passenger compartment; receiving radar waves reflected by a passenger or by passengers being present in the vehicle passenger compartment; generating received radar signals from the received radar waves; mathematically decomposing the received radar signals into a plurality of received signal components; providing values of the received signal components regarding a characteristic parameter to a classifier trained with a plurality of scenarios; identifying one of trained scenarios, based on the provided values; and generating an output signal indicative of the identified scenario.

  • Publication number: 20220114445
Abstract: A system and method for processing predictions in the presence of adversarial perturbations in a sensing system. The processor receives inputs from sensors and runs a neural network having a network function that generates, as outputs, predictions of the neural network. The method generates from a plurality of outputs a measurement quantity (m) that may be, at or near a given input, either (i) a first measurement quantity M1 corresponding to a gradient of the given output, (ii) a second measurement quantity M2 corresponding to a gradient of a predetermined objective function derived from a training process for the neural network, or (iii) a third measurement quantity M3 derived from a combination of M1, and M2. The method determines whether the measurement quantity (m) is equal to or greater than a threshold. If greater than the threshold, one or more remedial actions are performed to correct for a perturbation.

  • Patent number: 6122011
Abstract: A channel map is created and/or edited with the aid of a PIP window in which a real time television program is displayed. The PIP window is displayed on a monitor screen at the same time as a channel map of pairs of network names and local channel numbers. The local channel numbers can be individually changed to create the channel map or edit the pairings of network name and local channel number. When the local channel numbers are changed, the tuner for the PIP window also automatically changes so the television program displayed in the PIP window corresponds to the television program telecast on the local channel number displayed on the screen. This provides verification of the accuracy of the pairing of network names and local channel numbers in the channel map.
