  • Patent number: 8662519
Abstract: An internal cable system for a bicycle is disclosed herein. The system is configured such that vibration between one or more cables and a bicycle frame is reduced. As such, riders are able to navigate through rugged terrain without experiencing increased noise due to internal cable vibration against the bicycle frame.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 15, 2011
Date of Patent: March 4, 2014
    Assignee: Niner, Inc.
    Inventor: Steve Domahidy
  • Patent number: 8590914
Abstract: A bicycle frame includes substantially rigid front and rear triangles that are pivotally connected to one another by a pair of pivoting linkages.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 29, 2011
Date of Patent: November 26, 2013
    Assignee: Niner, Inc.
    Inventor: Steve Domahidy
  • Patent number: 8561498
Abstract: An eccentric bottom bracket for a bicycle. The eccentric bottom bracket includes opposing first and second members. The first member and the second member each include a body and a flange. Each body is sized and shaped to penetrate an opening of a bottom bracket shell of a bicycle. Each flange is sized and shaped to prevent complete admittance of the member into the bottom bracket shell. Each body also has a bearing guide with an axis that is parallel to but offset from a center axis of the bottom bracket shell when that body is fit into the bottom bracket shell. The eccentric bottom bracket also includes a tightening assembly for selectively applying a compressive force between the body of the first member and the body of the second member. The compressive force secures the first member and the second member to the bottom bracket shell.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 7934739
Abstract: A twenty-nine inch wheel bicycle frame includes substantially rigid front and rear triangles that are pivotally connected to one another by a pair of linkages. The frame is designed so that chain tension urges the linkages to pivot in opposite directions, while bumps urge the linkages to pivot in the same direction.
