  • Publication number: 20080049924
Abstract: A method and system for providing intelligent network control services in IP telephony, wherein the system includes a location manager and an IP telephony proxy server. The location manager includes an interface to a legacy telephony service control entity and the IP telephony proxy server includes an IP interface to the location manager. If the IP telephony proxy server requires intelligent network services, then the IP telephony proxy server sends an IP telephony session initiation request to the called party at the location manager. The location manager uses the information to query the legacy telephony service control entity for routing information. When the location manager receives a routing response from the service control entity, the location manager maps the response to an IP telephony session control message back to the IP telephony proxy server.

  • Patent number: 6427143
Abstract: Data to be loaded into a table of a database is read from an input file by a LOAD utility including a CHECK subutility that performs constraint checking on each row prior to loading the row into the table. During initialization of the CHECK subutility, the DB2 catalog is read to identify any constraints that apply to the data to be loaded. If any check constraints apply, check constraint routines are built and compiled by the CHECK subutility. If any referential integrity constraints apply, the key values for the parent index of each referential integrity constraint are read and stored in an additional dataspace allocated by the CHECK subutility so that the foreign key values from each row to be loaded can be located by the CHECK subutility and compared against the parent index values prior to loading the data into the table. When the constraint checking for the loading of data is complete, the additional dataspace allocated by the CHECK subutility is released.

  • Patent number: 5690459
Abstract: An assembly for forming a joint includes a stud joined to a plate. The stud includes a shank portion and a stem portion which extends from one end of the shank portion. The stem portion has a multi-lobular configuration thereon which is formed from a plurality of rounded lobes, each pair of lobes being interconnected to each other by a rounded flute. The plate has an aperture therethrough which has a multi-lobular configuration thereon which corresponds in shape to the multi-lobular configuration of the stem portion. To form the joint, the stem portion is inserted through the aperture such that a portion of the stem portion extends beyond the upper surface of the plate. The extending portion is then riveted to the plate to cause the extending portion to deform and uniformly expand to form a bloom or head and to secure the stud to the plate. The stem portion expands within the aperture to fully fill the aperture when the extending portion is being deformed.
