    Abstract: An induction heater system for fusing substrates having charged powder particles deposited thereon, the system comprising a conveyor means for conveying the substrates along a predetermined path and a fusing means disposed along and adjacent to the predetermined path for fusing the substrates. There is provided a means for creating an electric field in a given direction so as to provide a counter force in a direction opposite to the direction of tear-away forces acting on the particles, the latter being created by the electromagnetic influence of the fusing means on the particles.
