  • Publication number: 20190138667
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for managing a construction project using a digital twin or digital execution verification. A data ingestion module receives construction project data from data sources through a communication interface. An infrastructure module generates a digital twin of the construction project using a first data subset, and generates a plan model of the construction project using a second data subset. A display interface displays at least a portion of the digital twin overlaid with a corresponding portion of the plan model in a virtual environment. The plan model contains at least one planned component. The digital twin contains at least one construction component associated with a corresponding constructed component at a construction site. A construction mismatch is determined based on a comparison of the digital twin and the plan model, and is used to made adjustments for the construction project.

  • Publication number: 20170344210
Abstract: A sharing model enables users to easily and conveniently create and share standard and custom database objects, and applications, among users or groups of users. The sharing model includes systems and methods that allow users to conveniently create and customize tabs and tab sets that define relationships between custom objects and fields, standard objects and fields, and applications. A tab visually represents a user interface into an element of an application or into a database object. Selection of a tab provides a user access to the object or element of the application represented by the tab. A tab set is a group of related tabs that work as a unit to provide application functionality. New tabs and tab sets may be defined and tab set views may be customized so that an end user can easily and conveniently switch between the various objects and application elements represented by the displayed tabs and tab set views.

  • Patent number: 9764478
Abstract: The present invention provides a capture mechanism for capturing and locking onto the Marman flange located on the exterior surfaces of spacecraft/satellites. The capture mechanism achieves its goal of quickly capturing a target spacecraft by splitting the two basic actions involved into two separate mechanisms. One mechanism performs the quick grasp of the target while the other mechanism rigidises that grasp to ensure that the target is held as firmly as desired. To achieve a speedy grasp, the grasping action is powered by springs and an over-centre mechanism triggered either mechanically by a plunger or electronically by sensors and a solenoid. This forces two sets of jaws, one on either side of the object to be grasped, to close quickly over the target object. The jaws can be set up to grasp gently, firmly, or even not close completely on the target. The key is that they must close tightly enough so that the protrusions on the target cannot escape from the jaws due to any possible motions of the target.

  • Publication number: 20170209763
Abstract: An apparatus (10) for assisting a player playing golf is disclosed. The apparatus includes a club connector (14) for connecting part of the apparatus to a golf club. This part includes an accelerometer (22) and a processor (24) for processing the signals from the accelerometer. There is also a body connector (46) for connecting a second part (42) of the apparatus to the body of the golfer. This second part also includes an accelerometer. The two accelerometers are used to determine the angle the club to the horizontal, the rotational angle of the head of the club, the angle of the player's spine to the horizontal and the club to spine angle. These angles are output to a display (32) on the part of the apparatus attached to the club.

  • Publication number: 20160259069
Abstract: A nuclide decay discriminator system and method is disclosed. The system utilizes a digital computing device (DCD) to capture radiation counts from a radiation detection device (RDD) such as a photon detector via the use of one or more integrated analog-to-digital converters (ADC). The radiation count information is then processed using a recursive procedure in the DCD that determines the desired nuclide to be evaluated and then defines the possible nuclide decay transition states. For each possible nuclide decay state, a recursive permutation of possible state transitions from this nuclide state is determined using a state permutation engine (SPE). Combinations of these state transition branches are linked to form state transition chains each having individual probabilities associated with the overall state transition chain. These state transition chain probabilities are applied to the RDD ADC data to form observed RDD radiation data radiation count probabilities and displayed in real-time.

The jaws can be set up to grasp gently, firmly, or even not close completely on the target. Once the jaws have sprung shut, a second mechanism draws the jaws (and their closing mechanism) back into the body of the tool pulling the captured target onto two rigidization surfaces. The mechanism keeps pulling backwards until a pre-established preload is reached at which point the target is considered suitably rigidized to the capture mechanism.
