Publication number: 20250131748Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for quantifying one or more target concentrations in a biological sample using an analyte detection apparatus configured to analyze an array of partitions of the biological sample. A disclosed method comprises calculating expected locations of partitions in a representation of the array of partitions such as an image, based on corner locations of the array of partitions and analyzing images representing partitions associated with the expected locations of the partitions. The method further comprises determining observed locations of the partitions based on an analysis result of the images and quantifying the one or more target concentrations in the biological sample based on the observed locations of the partitions. These and other methods and systems are disclosed herein.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 14, 2022Publication date: April 24, 2025Inventors: Roger DETTLOFF, Steve GALLAGHER

Patent number: 10138517Abstract: An array of transportable particle sets is used in a microfluidic device for performing chemical reactions in the microfluidic device. The microfluidic device comprises a main channel and intersecting side channels, the main channel and side channels forming a plurality of intersections. The array of particle sets is disposed in the main channel, and the side channels are coupled to reagents. As the particle sets are transported through the intersections of the main channel and the side channels, reagents are flowed through the side channels into contact with each array member (or selected array members), thereby providing a plurality of chemical reactions in the microfluidic system.Type: GrantFiled: June 6, 2017Date of Patent: November 27, 2018Assignee: CALIPER LIFE SCIENCES, INC.Inventors: Tammy Burd Mehta, Anne R. Kopf-Sill, J. Wallace Parce, Andrea W. Chow, Luc J. Bousse, Michael R. Knapp, Theo T. Nikiforov, Steve Gallagher

Patent number: 4596021Abstract: The present invention relates to a modem that allows the user to switch back and forth between voice and data telecommunications during the same phone call without redialing. Such switching back and forth between voice and data telecommunications is accomplished by lifting the telephone handset for voice communications and replacing the telephone handset for resumption of data communications. The present invention also allows a local user to communicate with a remote user via a speaker at the remote modem location without the remote user picking up the remote handset.Type: GrantFiled: April 12, 1984Date of Patent: June 17, 1986Assignee: Prentice CorporationInventors: Kelly Carter, Steve Gallagher, Gregory Iverson, Kenneth R.
