  • Publication number: 20230371653
Abstract: Lacing engine systems, apparatus, and methods of operation are discussed. In an example, a lacing engine apparatus can include a housing, a drivetrain, and a lace take-up mechanism for retracting a length of lace cable upon activation. The drivetrain can include various reduction gears to reduce rotational speed out of the motor and power the lace take-up mechanism. The lace take-up mechanism can include structures such as a double-yoke, a radial pulley including an outer rotating disc and an inner stationary disc, a variable take-up spool, or a zip-strip mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20230144549
Abstract: A myringotomy device includes a housing; an elongated tube extending from the housing; and a retractable cutting tool extendable through the elongated tube, the cutting tool comprising a blade. The cutting tool is configured such that when advanced, the blade of the cutting tool extends beyond a distal end of the elongated tube. • Patent number: 11266439
Abstract: A device comprises a retractable shaft; a shaft biasing spring; and an actuator button. The retractable shaft is biased away from the actuator button by the shaft biasing spring. A magnetic attracting force is created between the retractable shaft and the actuator button upon actuation of the actuator button. Before actuation, a distance between the actuator button and the retractable shaft is great enough that the magnetic attracting force is less than a biasing force of the shaft biasing spring such that the retractable shaft is biased away from the actuator button. Upon actuation, the actuator button is depressed to make the distance between the actuator button and the retractable shaft sufficiently small such that the magnetic attracting force is greater than the biasing force of the shaft biasing spring to allow the retractable shaft to be biased towards the actuator button.

  • Patent number: 10351414
Abstract: A liquid dispenser includes a container and a lid. When the lid is mounted on the container, the container supports passaging including a gas supply inlet and a venturi. A control valve in fluid communication with the passaging is adjustable to a dispensing configuration and an evacuation configuration and a separate mode selector valve is adjustable to a dispensing configuration and an evacuation configuration. The dispenser dispenses liquid when both valves are in the dispensing configuration and evacuates liquid when both valves are in the evacuation configuration. The mode selector valve can block flow through a pressurization passage of the passaging in the evacuation configuration and through the venturi or other evacuation passage in the dispensing configuration.

  • Patent number: 10351413
Abstract: A pneumatic liquid dispenser includes a container and a lid. When the lid is mounted on the container, the container supports passaging defining a gas supply inlet for receiving pressurized gas, a gas outlet for delivering pressurized gas to the container, and a gas flow path between the inlet and the outlet. A pressure valve is located between the gas supply inlet and the gas outlet. The pressure valve is configured to automatically permit gas flow along the gas flow path when pressure in the interior of the container is less than a threshold pressure and to automatically block gas flow along the gas flow path when pressure in the interior of the container is greater than the threshold pressure. When gas flows freely through the gas flow path, the gas pressurizes the container to dispense liquid in the container through a liquid passage.

Abstract: A liquid flow device includes a container and a lid. When the lid is mounted on the container, the container supports a gas supply passage, a pressurization passage, an evacuation passage, and a liquid passage. A control valve is located between the gas supply passage and both the pressurization passage and the evacuation passage. In one configuration, the control valve provides communication between the gas supply passage and pressurization passage to pressurize the container and dispense liquid from the container through the liquid passage. In another configuration, the control valve provides communication between the gas supply passage and evacuation passage to create a vacuum pressure inside the container for evacuating liquid into the container through the liquid passage.
