  • Patent number: 11888186
Abstract: A bipolar plate assembly includes a first frame member, a second frame member, and a membrane electrode assembly. The first frame member has a first side and a second side. The first side has a first side protuberance. The second frame member includes a first side and a second side. The second side has a second side recess. The membrane electrode assembly has an anode plate and a cathode plate. A portion of the membrane electrode assembly is disposed between the first frame member and the second frame member. The portion of the membrane electrode assembly has a juxtaposition of the anode plate and the cathode plate. The first side protuberance of the first frame member deforms the portion of the membrane electrode assembly into the second side recess of the second frame member.

  • Patent number: 11462747
Abstract: A hybrid bipolar plate assembly for a fuel cell includes a formed cathode half plate and a stamped metal anode half plate. The stamped metal anode half plate is unnested with and affixed to the formed cathode half plate. Each of the half plates has a reactant side and a coolant side, a feed region, and a header with a plurality of header apertures. The coolant side of the formed cathode half plate need not correspond with cathode flow channels formed on the opposite reactant side. The coolant side of the stamped metal anode half plate has lands corresponding with anode channels formed on the opposite oxidant side. The lands define a plurality of coolant channels on the coolant side of the stamped metal anode half plate and abut the coolant side of the formed cathode half plate.

  • Patent number: 11135963
Abstract: A tie down anchor includes an anchor bar providing a point of attachment, an anchor plate having the anchor bar secured thereto, and left and right side plates secured to the anchor plate. A pin is secured to the left side plate and extends outwardly. An opening is defined on the right side plate and offset vertically form the pin. A fastener passing through the opening is engaged with the left side plate, urging the pin into an inner opening defined in a stake pocket defined by the wall of a pickup truck bed. The anchor bar may be retractable and retainers in a base plate secured below the anchor plate may releasably secure the anchor bar in an extended position.

  • Publication number: 20080054036
Abstract: A surfboard is secured within a truck bed allowing ease of insertion and removal. A Z-shaped bar defines a proximal bar portion, a medial bar portion and a distal bar portion. A clamp is engaged with the proximal bar portion. A compliant sleeve covers the distal bar portion, and an elastic cord formed with loops at opposing ends is stretched over the distal bar portion. The clamp is fastened to a side flange of the truck bed and the distal portion is positioned on top of the tailgate so that a surfboard placed into the truck bed rests at one end on the bed of the truck and is held between the sleeve and the cord at the other end while resting on the sleeve. The cord safely clamps the surfboard in place.
