Abstract: A membrane-based heat and mass exchanger includes a plurality of slats where each slat has at least one membrane support structure, a plurality of grooves, at least one first inlet port and one first outlet port for a first fluid, and at least one second inlet port and at least one second outlet port for a second fluid. O-rings or gaskets shaped to match the plurality of grooves are inserted and a plurality of selective membranes is secured to the slats over the supports. The assembly is secured using bolts or clamps for compressing the slats and the selective membranes into an assembly of slats. The slats can be plastic and can be formed from multiple plastic sheets that are welded together to form structures for supporting and channeling fluids through the sheet. The sheets can display a serpentine surface for mixing of fluids under flow.

Abstract: The present invention discloses an ultra-violet device for use with a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system. The device includes an ultra-violet lamp mounted to a base having a switch for operating the lamp. The ultra-violet lamp and base couple to a mounting plate having a spring-loaded lever for engaging the switch of the base. The spring-loaded lever only engages the switch when the mounting plate, ultra-violet lamp, and base are properly configured. Thus, the ultra-violet device only operates when the device is properly configured.

Abstract: An ultraviolet device used for flooding an air duct of an air ventilation system with ultraviolet light comprising a mounting portion, the mounting portion that is mountable to an air duct, at least one mounting bracket which is interchangeably mountable to the mounting portion and at least one ultraviolet light lamp, the lamp is mountable to the mounting bracket wherein the angle at which the lamp mounts to said mounting bracket may be configured to maximize the coverage of ultraviolet light within the air duct.
