Abstract: Exposed fixture mechanism (or exposed fixture mechanism) and associated mounting features constituting a broad range of structural, aesthetic, and/or functional enhancements to existing recessed fixtures. Embodiments are generally configured to couple at a structural surface at and/or surrounding a recessed fixture. A mounting ring provides secure attachment at the structural surface, A ring cover with or without an exposed fixture mechanism (EFM) typically is coupled to the mounting ring surrounding the recessed fixture via a variety of mechanisms including but not limited to a twist-lock engagement, magnets, screws, or snap on mechanisms. EFMs include a wide variety of aesthetic, functional, and/or structural embodiments.
