  • Publication number: 20070233526
Abstract: A method is provided that includes initiating adjudication of a primary claim in response to a purchase transaction at a primary payer for a client at a point of sale of a healthcare provider, and adjudicating one or more services of a program of the administrator to which the client is enrolled and/or one or more secondary benefits following the adjudication of the primary claim. The purchase transaction is applicable to the respective program and the respective secondary benefit, and the program includes one or more services. The method also includes providing the one or more services and/or secondary benefits to the client in response to adjudicating the one or more services and/or secondary benefits.

  • Publication number: 20070192147
Abstract: A system and method of booking an itinerary on at least one of a multiplicity of host environments include a plurality of host adaptor modules. Each host adaptor module is configured to interact with one of the plurality of host ticketing environments. A booking engine is provided for receiving commands related to booking the air travel itinerary and determining an appropriate host ticketing environment for processing the commands based on a number of predefined criteria. When the booking engine receives a command it forwards the command to a first host adaptor module which is associated with first host ticketing environment selected by the booking engine for processing the command. The host adaptor module receives the command and issues the command to said first host ticketing environment. The first host adaptor module in turn receives a response from the first host ticketing environment and determines whether the response comports with an expected response.

  • Publication number: 20060178093
Abstract: A vertical processor (10) for processing parts by subjecting the parts to rotational and centrifugal motion with abrasive media. The processor includes an outer drum (32), and a plurality of inner containers (34) positioned within the outer drum. The inner containers are driven into engagement with the inner surface of the outer drum by centrifugal motion. Each container has an open top. A drive system centrifugally drives the inner containers within the outer drum. A lid (62) is removably engaged with each container for closing the container. A lifting mechanism is attached to each lid for lifting the lids off of the container.

  • Publication number: 20060089091
Abstract: A rotational processor comprises an outer vessel and a plurality of inner vessels having an outer traction surface adapted for rolling contact with an inner surface of the outer vessel. A plurality of drive rollers drive the inner vessels about a center line of the outer vessel in rolling contact with the outer vessel. Each of the drive rollers contacts each of a pair of adjacently located inner vessels when the inner vessels are not being driven about the outer vessel. The outer traction surfaces compress in response to centrifugal forces applied by the rolling contact with the outer vessel such that each of the drive rollers separates from one of the adjacently located pair of the inner vessels.

  • Publication number: 20060046620
Abstract: A process is disclosed for forming a spherical component using a centrifugal processing machine. The process includes the steps of providing a component having an initial shape with at least a portion that is non-spherical, placing the component into a container in the centrifugal processor, adding a first stage abrasive media into the container, and rotating the container so as to produce centrifugal and rotational motion of the abrasive within the container. The motion of the abrasive causes the component shape to change from the initial shape to a substantially spherical shape through the repeated contacting of the component's surface by the abrasive. In one embodiment, the components are further processed in a second stage using a different media to polish the surface of the component.

  • Publication number: 20060018782
Abstract: A media mixtures is disclosed for imparting compressive residual stress on a work piece in a high energy centrifugal processor. The media mixture includes carrier media, preferably made from a fractured grain product. The carrier medium having an average size of at least about 0.05 inches and a hardness. A plurality of abrasive particles are mixed with the carrier media, Each particle has a size that is smaller than the carrier medium and has a hardness that is greater than the hardness of the carrier medium.

  • Publication number: 20050279430
Abstract: An improved gear including a plurality of teeth defining a surface, the teeth each having a substantially continuous first subsurface stress layer located below the surface, and a second subsurface stress layer located below the first subsurface stress layer, the first subsurface stress layer comprising a thickness of compressive residual stress.

  • Patent number: 6875081
Abstract: A method for forming a tool having a smooth surface finish is disclosed. The method involves the step of first rotating a plurality of tools within an inner vessel at high speed relative to the outer vessel with a first abrasive. The first abrasive is then removed and a second abrasive is added to the vessel. The inner vessel is then rotated, again at high speed, with the second abrasive. The resulting tools have reduced surface anomalies.

  • Patent number: 6464295
Abstract: A locking assembly for a glider rocker having a gliding chair seat mounted on a stationary base. A latch bar is adapted to extend horizontally and transversely with respect to a gliding direction of the chair seat. A mounting assembly is provided for attaching the latch bar to the chair seat, the mounting assembly being operable for selectively lifting and lowering the latch bar with respect to the chair seat.
