  • Patent number: 10839392
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for use in enhancing security associated with services related to payment or banking accounts, in connection with communication between consumers and consumer service call centers associated with the accounts. One exemplary method includes receiving, at a computing device, a request to authenticate a consumer to a payment or banking account from a call center associated with consumer services for the account, and soliciting a biometric from the consumer. The method also includes receiving biometric data from a communication device associated with the consumer relating to the solicited biometric, and confirming the received biometric data based on reference biometric data for the consumer. The method then further includes transmitting an authentication confirmation to the call center, when the received biometric data is confirmed, whereby the call center is able to proceed in providing the consumer services to the consumer with or without security questions.

  • Publication number: 20170109752
Abstract: Methods and systems for authorizing an online purchase transaction. In some embodiments, during an online transaction a merchant plug-in (MPI) application of a merchant server receives a cardholder authentication message including an enhanced accountholder authentication variable (AAV) from an issuer access control server (ACS). The MPI application then transmits a purchase transaction authorization request message to a payment gateway that includes the enhanced AAV, and receives a purchase transaction authorization response. The merchant server computer displays the purchase transaction authorization response on a merchant webpage and stores it along with the enhanced AAV in association with the cardholder data in an MPI database.

  • Publication number: 20160210608
Abstract: A method includes receiving, from a merchant, transaction data and supplemental data relating to a payment account transaction. The method further includes accessing at least one service selection rule. Also, based on the at least one service selection rule and the transaction data and supplemental data, at least one service is selected. The selected service(s) are provided to the merchant in connection with the payment account transaction.

  • Publication number: 20150294313
Abstract: Multi-factor authentication techniques are described that use secure push authentication technology for transactions. An embodiment includes receiving, by an assurance platform operating as an authentication service platform, a user authentication request and transaction data from an access control server (ACS), determining an authentication rule, generating a user validation request message, transmitting the user validation request message to a user mobile device, and receiving user authentication data. The assurance platform then validates the user authentication data, transmits a device authentication request, receives a device authentication response signed with a private key of the user, and authenticates the user based on the device authentication response and private key.

  • Patent number: 8513943
Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for maintaining normalcy of a sensor with respect to a structure. The apparatus includes a driving member, a driven member, and a sensor. The driving member includes a first engaging element and a second engaging element. The driven member includes a third engaging element and a fourth engaging element. The third engaging element of the driven member is engaged with the first engaging element of the driving member. The fourth engaging element of the driven member is engaged with the second engaging element of the driving member. The sensor is coupled to the driven member, which is rotatably drivable by the driving member. Engagement between the first and third engaging elements facilitates three-dimensional adjustment of the driven member relative to the driving member. Engagement between the second and fourth engaging elements facilitates co-rotation of the driving member and the driven member.

  • Patent number: 8493064
Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for scanning metallic surfaces. The apparatus, in one embodiment, comprises a shaft and a rotating member. The rotating member may comprise a sensing end and a featuring engaging element. The shaft further comprises a first coupling element and the rotating member further comprises a second coupling element. The first coupling element may be coupleable with the second coupling element such that the rotating member is pivotable at any three-dimensional angle with respect to the shaft to orient the sensing surface parallel to the scanned surface.

  • Publication number: 20080066313
Abstract: A sandwich panel is constructed by molding or spraying to provide a foam insulated panel for an ice/beverage dispensing machine. The panel comprises a foam thereon and a hard coating on the foam on the side opposite the panel. The foam could be a urethane with a foaming agent and the hard coating could also be a urethane but without a foaming agent. The panel could be formed by spraying or molding or upon another existing structural member, such as of stainless steel and can be used to enclose and insulate other components such as beverage lines or ice bin.
