  • Patent number: 7484123
Abstract: A Micro Telecommunications Computing Architecture, MicroTCA, test system comprises an interconnect for communication between modules of the MicroTCA test system. A test controller module, such as a JTAG, Switch Module, is coupled to the interconnect and comprises an interface for coupling to at least one unit under test. An interface module, such as a MicroTCA Carrier Hub module, receives test instruction messages from an external connection and forwards these to the test controller module via the interconnect. The test instruction messages comprise test input data for at least a first unit under test. The test controller module furthermore comprises an extraction processor for extracting the test input data from the test instruction messages; and a test controller for performing a test of the first unit under test in response to the test input data.

  • Publication number: 20070291906
Abstract: A test system comprises a test processor which determines an operational status, such as a fault status, for a unit under test. The unit under test may e.g. comprise one or more boards of an electronic assembly. A presence processor generates a presence message in response to the operational status where the presence message is in accordance with a user presence message protocol. A communication controller then transmits the presence message to a remote network element of a communication network. The remote network element may be a presence server which can transmit a presence status update to associated devices. The invention may allow efficient and remote status monitoring for a test system using user presence infrastructure.

  • Publication number: 20070291905
Abstract: A test system comprises a test processor which is arranged to perform hardware level tests on a unit under test. A voice interface interfaces to an external voice communication link coupled to a remote voice communication unit. A test controller is coupled to the test processor and the voice interface and comprises a script processor for executing a test control script. The test control script is in accordance with a voice scripting language standard, such as the Voice extensible Markup Language, VXML, standard. The script processor comprises a first interface for interfacing with the test processor in response to the test control script and a second interface for interfacing with the voice interface in response to the test control script. The invention may allow a user friendly speech interface to a hardware level test system.
