  • Patent number: 12521071
Abstract: Systems and Methods are disclosed for detecting acute coronary syndrome (ACS) events, arrythmias, heart rate abnormalities, medication problems such as non-compliance or ineffective amount or type of medication, and demand/supply related cardiac ischemia. The system may have both implanted and external components that communicate with a Physicians's programmer, and smart-devices for monitoring and alerting to detected medically relevant events or states. At least one processor provides event detection using statistical threshold criteria calculated upon at least a portion of a patient's data/distributions and set for a patient or based upon what a doctor determines as abnormal for a patient. Cardiovascular condition is tracked using histogram, trend, and summary information related to heart rate and/or cardiac features such as S-T segment measures of heartbeats. Heartbeats with elevated rates, and below a “high” range, provide medically relevant detections including medication non-compliance.

  • Publication number: 20250207910
Abstract: An optical sensor, an optical sensor system, and associated methods are disclosed for use in detecting the deposition of material such as a biofilm comprising bacteria from a fluid such as a flow of fluid or a static fluid over a time period of greater than or equal to one hour. The optical sensor comprises a chirped grating structure defining a sensing surface for exposure to the fluid and for receiving material deposited from the fluid. The chirped grating structure is configured such that when the chirped grating structure is illuminated with a beam of light, one or more corresponding guided mode resonances are excited in one or more corresponding different regions of the chirped grating structure thereby causing the one or more corresponding different regions of the chirped grating structure to reflect one or more corresponding spatial portions of the beam of light.

  • Patent number: 11808606
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for generating a runway landing alert for an aircraft. The method comprises establishing an altitude parameter and a safety envelope for a designated target runway of the aircraft. A track of the aircraft is monitored with reference to a centerline of the target runway. Any deviation by the aircraft from the centerline of the target runway is detected and determined if it is within a margin of error. If the deviation is within the margin of error, an altitude parameter is increased. If the aircraft is determined to still be maneuvering with respect to the centerline of the target runway, the altitude parameter is decreased. Otherwise, an alert is generated if the aircraft is outside of the safety envelope.

  • Patent number: 11690010
Abstract: The normalization of data originating from endpoints within low power wide area networks (LPWANs) is contemplated. The normalization may be beneficial to facilitate normalizing data when collected and/or communicated according to disparate protocols, languages, formats, syntaxes, structures, etc. of the endpoints and/or the LPWANs so as to enable commonization of the data prior to being interfaced with applications or other entities intending to make use thereof.

  • Patent number: 11472570
Abstract: A system and method of shifting a premature descent protection envelope for an aircraft has been developed. First, a premature descent protection envelope (PDP) is determined including a first boundary at a first distance from the runway. Next, a nominal approach path is determined for approaching the runway and an approach path angle. Also, a flight path angle of the aircraft is determined. The first boundary is shifted in an upward direction from the runway in response to the aircraft being below the nominal approach path, and the flight path angle being greater than the nominal approach path angle.

  • Patent number: 11426089
Abstract: A device for detecting acute coronary syndrome (ACS) events, arrythmias, heart rate abnormalities, medication problems such as non-compliance or ineffective amount or type of medication, and demand/supply related cardiac ischemia is disclosed. The device may have both implanted and external components and can communicate with other user devices such as smartphones and smartwatches for monitoring and alerting in response to detected medically relevant events or states of a patient. The processor is configured to provide event detection based upon various criteria including what is found to be statistically abnormal for a patient or what has been defined by a doctor to be abnormal. A patient's cardiovascular condition can be tracked over time using histogram, trend, and summary information related to heart rate and/or cardiac features such as those measured from the S-T segment of heartbeats.
