  • Publication number: 20240091422
Abstract: A renal therapy system is disclosed. In an example, the renal therapy system includes a home renal therapy machine that stores, to a log file, dates of when renal therapies were performed and a type of each renal therapy that was performed. The system also includes a server that receives the log file from the home renal therapy machine. The server compares the dates and types of performed renal therapies stored in the log file to a device program that specifies dates for performing renal therapies and the types of renal therapies to be performed. The server displays a flag in a user interface of a clinician computer when there is a deviation from the comparison.

  • Patent number: 11819596
Abstract: A renal therapy system is disclosed. In an example, the renal therapy system includes a user interface device, such as a tablet computer. The renal therapy system also includes a renal therapy machine configured to perform a renal therapy. The renal therapy machine includes a data transfer interface configured to communicatively couple to the user interface device, a dialysis fluid pump, and a processor that operates a connectivity agent having an activated mode and a deactivated mode. When in the activated mode, the connectivity agent enables the processor to send data related to a performance of the renal therapy to a system hub. In the deactivated mode, the processor is prevented from sending the data to or receiving any data from the system hub. The user interface device is configured to receive data from and send data to the processor regardless of a status of the connectivity agent.

  • Publication number: 20230285660
Abstract: A patient care system is disclosed that includes a medical device such as an infusion pump. The medical device generates a data message containing information such as the status of the therapy being delivered, operating data or both. An alarm generating system assesses the data message from the pump and generates an alarm message if certain conditions established by a first set of rules are met. The alarm message is assessed according to a second set of rules as to whether to suppress the alarm message. The data message contains a required input for both the first and second algorithms. A dispatching system is adapted to forward the alarm message to an alarm destination according to a third set of rules. The alarm destination expresses an alarm upon receipt of the alarm message.

  • Publication number: 20220362463
Abstract: An infusion system and pump with configurable closed loop delivery rate catch-up including an infusion system having a medication management unit and a medical device. The medication management unit has programming code to: provide a graphical user interface for modifying a drug library; receive a catch-up rate factor; update the drug library with the catch-up rate factor; and transmit the updated drug library to the medical device. The medical device has programming code to: receive the updated drug library; receive a desired infusion rate; calculate expected accumulated infusion volume from the desired infusion rate; request delivery of the infusion at the desired infusion rate; determine actual accumulated infusion volume at a particular time; increase the infusion rate by the catch-up rate factor to generate a catch-up infusion rate when at the particular time the actual accumulated infusion volume is less than expected; and request infusion at the catch-up infusion rate.
