Patent number: 10924832Abstract: A combined light and loudspeaker driver device comprising a housing supporting a loudspeaker driver, a heat removal element, electronic components and a light source. The heat removal element includes a column extending along a central longitudinal axis to a base of the housing, to meet a heat sink formed around the central longitudinal axis to the rear of the housing. The light source provides task lighting and is a heat source. It is mounted on a front end of the column distal from the heat sink at the base of the housing, to optimize conduction of heat away from the light source. The housing is generally cup shaped and has side walls. The interior of the side walls is parallel with the central longitudinal axis of the housing over the majority of the rearward depth thereof resulting in a large void behind the loudspeaker diaphragm, leading to improved sound.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2018Date of Patent: February 16, 2021Assignee: Zuma Array LimitedInventors: Susan Cook, Steve Kelly, Morten Warren, Sam James, Seongmin Hwang

Patent number: 8601135Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for a client application on a computing device to perform a configuration process with a wireless access point. The access point exposes an isolated, unsecured Access Point which provides access to the DHCP services and services by which a client application can run the WPS registration process over a TCP (or higher layer protocol) connection.Type: GrantFiled: January 3, 2012Date of Patent: December 3, 2013Assignee: CISCO Technology, Inc.Inventors: Joshua Lang, Craig Hobbs, Steve Kelly, John-Anthony Owens

Publication number: 20050111702Abstract: Prestack seismic data is imaged by calculating an individual reflectivity for each frequency in the seismic data. Then, a mean reflectivity is calculating over the individual reflectivities. A variance is calculated for the set of reflectivities versus frequency. A second variance is calculated for the upgoing wavefield, using the mean reflectivity. A spatially varying pre-whitening factor is then calculated, using the variance for the reflectivities and the variance for the upgoing wavefield. A reflectivity is calculated at each location, using the spatially varying pre-whitening factor.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 23, 2003Publication date: May 26, 2005Inventor: Steve Kelly

Publication number: 20050090989Abstract: A set of pre-stack seismic data is downward extrapolated, by first determining a migration interval in the seismic data set. A maximum error criterion is selected for the migration interval. A maximum relative error in phase calculated as a function of frequency, propagation angle, and the relative variation in velocity in the migration interval. The maximum relative error in phase is compared to the maximum error criterion. The type of extrapolation to use in the migration interval is determined from the comparison of the maximum relative error in phase to the maximum error criterion. The type of extrapolation is selected from a set comprising Gazdag phase-shift extrapolation, split-shift Fourier extrapolation, and implicit finite difference extrapolation.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 23, 2003Publication date: April 28, 2005Inventor: Steve Kelly

Patent number: 6687617Abstract: A method of migrating seismic data is provided. The seismic data has associated therewith a wavefield at a first level. The method comprises extrapolating the wavefield from the first level to a second level; correcting the extrapolated wavefield; computing intermediate sample points for an output image between the first and the second levels; computing a contribution to the wavefield at each intermediate sample point; and summing the contributions to the wavefield at each intermediate sample point.Type: GrantFiled: June 28, 2001Date of Patent: February 3, 2004Assignee: PGS America, Inc.Inventor: Steve Kelly

Publication number: 20030083820Abstract: Recursive f-k migration of a body of seismic data performed in N stages, including establishing from an RMS velocity VRMS a laterally-averaged interval velocity profile extending from a surface at time zero to time t; determining layer boundaries within the laterally averaged interval velocity profile, including identifying a unique set of pairs of depth and vertical travel time giving rise to a minimum sum of squares of residuals for the layers; calculating reference velocities for each layer; time-stretching the entire body of seismic data; performing, upon the data in each layer of the body of seismic data not yet fully migrated, recursive stages of f-k migration, including using as input to a current recursive migration stage that portion of the output from a previous recursive migration stage that comprises data partially migrated; and inversely time-stretching the entire body of seismic data.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 9, 2001Publication date: May 1, 2003Inventors: Jiaxiang Ren, Steve Kelly, Ruben D. Martinez

Patent number: 6466873Abstract: A method of migrating seismic event data in the presence of a vertically time-varying velocity field defined by a migration velocity function is provided. The method comprises approximating a migration velocity function by constant stepwise stage velocities. The seismic event data is time stretched and is then successively migrated using residual velocities. After the seismic event data is fully migrated, the effect of time stretching is removed by time unstretching the fully migrated seismic event data by a reverse operation to obtain a finally migrated seismic event data.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 2000Date of Patent: October 15, 2002Assignee: PGS Americas, Inc.Inventors: Jiaxiang Ren, Steve Kelly, Ruben Martinez
