Abstract: The present invention relates to identification systems for identifying a person or object, and more particularly to a winged identification tag for infants and small children. In one embodiment, an identification tag includes an identification portion having first and second opposite sides and first and second opposite ends, a strap portion extending from the first end of the identification portion, a wing extending from the first side of the identification portion, a curved notch forming curved corners where the wing meets the identification portion, and a removable cover piece underlying at least a portion of the wing.
