Publication number: 20240062630Abstract: A computer-implemented method of operating a gaming device includes providing, by a processor circuit of the gaming device, video of a sporting event to a display device of the gaming device. The method further includes determining, by the processor circuit, whether a wager has been selected from among a set of wagers which satisfies a wager requirement for continuing providing the video. The method further includes, in response to a determination that the wager requirement for continuing providing the video has not been satisfied, suspending, by the processor circuit, providing the video of the sporting event to the display device.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 31, 2023Publication date: February 22, 2024Applicant: IGTInventors: Dwayne NELSON, Steve LEMAY

Patent number: 11837054Abstract: A gaming system may determine a player status of a player using the gaming device and, based on the determined player status of the player, may provide video of a live sporting event to a display device of the gaming device. The gaming system may select a set of wagers that are associated with defined events in the live sporting event and provide an indication of the set of wagers to the display device. The system may include a wager or other requirement for continuing providing the video. The system may determine whether the player has selected a wager from among the set of wagers which satisfies the wager requirement, and may suspend, continue, or resume providing the video of the live sporting event to the gaming device based on the determination.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 2021Date of Patent: December 5, 2023Assignee: IGTInventors: Dwayne Nelson, Steve Lemay

Publication number: 20220114865Abstract: Devices, systems and methods for selectively providing live sporting event video at sports gaming devices may include decrypting a first encrypted video signal is decrypted into a first decrypted video signal that includes a first encoded video stream of a first live sporting event. The first encoded video stream may be decoded into a first decoded video stream that includes a first video of the first live sporting event, which may be displayed by a display device along with first wager information to facilitate a user placing a wager on the first live sporting event. In response to receiving an instruction to display a second video of a second live sporting event, a second encrypted video signal may be decrypted into a second decrypted video signal that includes a second encoded video stream of the second live sporting event. The second encoded video stream may be decoded into a second decoded video stream that includes the second video of the second live sporting event.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 23, 2021Publication date: April 14, 2022Inventors: Dwayne NELSON, Steve LEMAY, John HURLEY, Thang DOAN, Chun JIA

Patent number: 7895279Abstract: A threaded list of e-mail messages is provided by checking each received message against previous messages to determine whether the new message is associated with previous messages. If so, then a new thread is created. The new thread has an associated thread header, which stores metadata bout the messages in the thread. If the received message is related to messages in an existing thread, then the received message is added to that thread, and the thread header for that thread is updated to reflect data from the received message. The thread header appears with messages in a message list view of the inbox, and provides data about the thread. Messages that are not part of a thread are shown in the same view as threaded messages, without a thread header. This allows a user to view both threaded and non-threaded messages in a single view.Type: GrantFiled: July 24, 2008Date of Patent: February 22, 2011Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Scott Forstall, Gregory N. Publication number: 20090176517Abstract: A messaging application can be activated on a mobile device for determining whether messages were successfully transmitted from the mobile device to one or more specified recipients. The messaging application provides a user interface that allows the user to resend the message to those recipients who did not receive the message or to cancel the message. In one implementation, the state of input text composed for failed messages is retained so that the user does not have to retype the entire message before the message is retransmitted.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 6, 2008Publication date: July 9, 2009Applicant: APPLE INC.Inventors: Gregory N.
