Abstract: A direct contact densified fluid-based thermodynamic treatment system uses the fluid to effect heat transfer as the working fluid in a separate yet linked treatment system. During certain phases of operation of a densified fluid-based treatment process wherein it is necessary to distill the fluid to maintain the purity of the densified fluid heat is imparted to the densified fluid raising it above the boiling point for the associated pressure within a vessel. A densified fluid-based refrigeration/thermodynamic system removes heat during the condensing cycle of a working densified fluid treatment system and use the removed heat for distillation of the same working fluid in the distillation vessel. The process does not require an external heating or cooling system, and thus can be entirely supported by a single machine using the same densified fluid during its operational phase.

Abstract: A container adapted to contain and dispense a product and method for its use. The container comprises a hollow body, a filling opening, a dispensing opening, a valve and a resiliently deformable means for said valve. The valve may form a leak-tight engagement with the dispensing opening, and is openable by an external force acting on said valve whereby the leak-tight engagement is disengaged, allowing the product to be spread onto a fabric by the valve. The container may be used in a method for pretreating and subsequently laundering pretreated fabrics in an automatic washing machine.

Abstract: A container adapted to contain and dispense a product. Said container comprises a hollow body, a filling opening, a dispensing opening, a valve and a flexible and resilient support means for said valve. Said flexible and resilient support means urges said valve against said dispensing opening, achieving a leak-tight engagement between said valve and said dispensing opening. Said flexible and resilient support means can be resiliently deformed by an external force acting on said valve whereby said leak-tight engagement between said valve and said dispensing opening is disengaged, allowing said contained product to be spread by said valve. Said flexible and resilient support means comprises a housing which fits the container and defines said dispensing opening at one extremity. Said housing comprising a resiliently deformable means urging said valve against said dispensing opening to achieve said leak-tight engagement.

Abstract: A graphical user interface (GUI) for a remote operated vehicle (ROV) with an onboard video camera with pan-and-tilt mechanism. A broad translucent compass bearing icon is arranged horizontally with scrolling compass bearing marks that give the user visual feedback for steering the ROV as well as hard information relating to the bearing. A long translucent depth icon is arranged vertically with depth reading marks that scroll up and down as the ROV moves down and up respectively. A pan-and-tilt icon at the top center of the screen gives user feedback as to the direction in which the ROV camera is pointing relative to the ROV. Status indicator icons and the other icons are inserted and removed by special burn-in and fade-out processes to provide good visibility at the same time as continuity of viewing.

Abstract: Methods and systems for generating revenue using a streaming video that includes primarily informative content for users are disclosed. An indication of one or more products or services is preferably provided in the informative content of the streaming video. The indication may be a picture of the product or service, or an audio indication, or both as desired. A link is preferably placed in the streaming video that directly or indirectly links a user or viewer to a site that has additional information related to the one or more products or services indicated in the streaming video. Revenue may be generated from companies that offer the products or services that are indicated or featured in the streaming video. The service or business that provides the streaming video, the companies that offer the products or services, and/or the web site(s) that distribute the streaming video may receive some or all of the generated revenue, preferably in a revenue sharing arrangement.
