  • Publication number: 20140326346
Abstract: A fluid coupling member (11) includes a housing (20) having a bore (35). A poppet (41) is slidably disposed in the bore (35). The poppet (41) engages a generally cylindrical seating surface (36) to close the bore when the poppet (41) is in a closed position. The poppet (41) is moveable in one direction to a first opened position (FIG. 3) against the bias of a spring assembly (42, 43, 44) when the fluid coupling member (11) is connected to a second coupling member (12). The poppet (41) moves in the opposite direction to a second opened position (FIG. 2) against the bias of the spring assembly when the fluid coupling member (11) is disconnected from the second coupling member (12). A filter (246) (FIG. 7) includes an enlarged diameter portion (246c) disposed in a conical opening between an enlarged diameter bore portion (239b) and a flaring member (250).

  • Patent number: 8238821
Abstract: Various methods, apparatuses, and systems are described in which a WAP is coupled to an antenna unit and provides a wireless LAN. In one embodiment, the antenna unit includes at least one remote antenna circuit having one or more ports to receive a control signal and a transmit signal transmitted from the WAP located in a multi-tone transmitter-receiver. Each remote antenna circuit includes a transmit amplifier unit that amplifies the transmit signal, a receive amplifier unit that amplifies a receive signal, and control unit that receives the control signal. The control unit controls an operation of the transmit and the receive amplifier units to extend a range of the wireless WAP with the at least one remote antenna circuit.

  • Patent number: 7602596
Abstract: In general, various methods, apparatuses, and systems for a surge protection circuit for a Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) are disclosed. The surge protection circuit includes a first voltage protection device coupled to a first wire of the PSTN. A voltage protection device conducts when voltage applied across the voltage protection device at least meets a set voltage threshold. The surge protection circuit includes a second voltage protection device coupled to a second wire of the PSTN. The second voltage protection device is coupled to the first voltage protection device in series. The surge protection circuit includes a voltage divider device to cause a voltage applied differentially across the first wire and second wire to divide evenly across the first voltage protection device and the second voltage protection device.

  • Patent number: 5911539
Abstract: An interconnected block system including a plurality of staggered rows of block members formed of concrete or the like secured to the upper surface only of an underlying, interconnecting, grid-like, matrix sheet. In one embodiment, a plurality of connector elements are connected to the matrix material preferably by bodkin connections to form one or a multiplicity of openings or apertures above the upper surface of the matrix sheet for reception of the block-forming material. The block members are cast on top of the matrix sheet material to capture the connector elements which provides a mechanical interlock between the block member and the matrix. The matrix sheet material preferably includes a layer of geotextile bonded on an opposite side from the block members. An alternate embodiment provides a strip or mat to underly the matrix sheet with a plurality of projections upstanding therefrom and passing through the matrix sheet.
