    Abstract: A mixing apparatus has a vessel for containing material to be mixed has an inlet and a outlet and a driven impeller shaft inside the vessel. A first axial direction impeller is at a first axial position on the shaft; and a second axial direction impeller at a second axial location on the shaft. The first and second impellers are configured to pump in opposite directions from each other so that material is between is pumped between the impellers towards the other impeller.
