  • Publication number: 20240139456
Abstract: FIGS. 1-16D & 66A-92D disclose a large variety of methods of forming the headgear for use in combination with a breathing apparatus including a unitary plastic core within textile casings. In some configurations, the plastic core material penetrates or bursts-through the textile casing of the straps. Some configurations include over moulding, alignment posts, T-joints and joint housings with injection aperture. FIGS. 17-65 & 93A-94C disclose a large variety of different headgear arrangements including top strap, front strap, rear strap and pairs of straps extending from the mask above and below the ear to meet behind the ear. FIGS. 95-121B disclose a large variety of connectors connecting the headgear assembly to the mask assembly where the headgear, mask and connector form a closed loop when the connector is disengaged with the mask assembly.

  • Publication number: 20240120759
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices are provided for executing cell balancing in an energy storage system. The systems, methods, and devices may comprise an imbalance estimation system and a balancing execution system. The imbalance estimation system may be configured to receive, and to determine an estimated cell imbalance and imbalance estimation uncertainty of the energy storage. The estimated cell imbalance of the energy storage may be based on a voltage input, V, representing a measured voltage associated with the energy storage device, and a probabilistic battery model associated with the energy storage device. The balancing estimation system may comprise a balancing circuit, the balancing execution system configured to partially discharge a cell via the balancing circuit based on the estimated cell imbalance of the energy storage device.

  • Publication number: 20080097366
Abstract: A tampon (101) having an insertion end (105) and a withdrawal end (106), and a withdrawal string (104) extending from the withdrawal end (106), the tampon (101) having a fibrous absorbent tampon body having multi-limbed viscose fibers, said tampon body having an inner core (108) and an outer absorbent structure (109) surrounding the inner core (108), the inner core (108) being more dense than the outer absorbent structure (109). The inner core (108) is made of a fibrous blend having 0-25% by weight of multilimbed viscose fibers and the outer absorbent structure (109) is made of a fibrous blend having 30-100% by weight of multilimbed viscose fibers.

  • Patent number: 7338270
Abstract: A guide device is adapted to be removably attached to a flat box device for use in applying mastic adjacent an outside corner or edge. The guide device includes a generally S-shaped guide bar, a bracket, and a spring. The bracket is adapted to attach to the flat box device. The guide bar is pivotably and slidably retained by the a first bracket portion. The spring is adapted to bias a first guide bar end of the guide bar away from the first bracket portion of the bracket. The guide bar extends across a width of the flat box device and the first guide bar end extends below the flat box device when the guide device is operably installed on the flat box device. The spring biases the guide bar in a lateral direction corresponding to the width of the flat box device when the guide device is operably installed on the flat box device.

  • Patent number: 6909822
Abstract: Systems are described that disperse the wavelength bands corresponding to the channel centers at a faster rate than the bandwidth of the channels themselves. An embodiment consists of a double element system including a grating, to create the initial separation, and a segmented mirror with multiple flat facets of different tilt, which reflect each spatially separated channel at a different angle. The size, position and angle of the facets are designed to match the spacing and position of individual channels of known wavelength and number that are diffracting from a grating with a predefined period, a set distance from this device. This system enables the individual channels to be re-imaged at some later point with a large separation between the channels, relative to their spatial size.

  • Patent number: 6754006
Abstract: A diffraction grating includes a metallic base layer and layers of dielectric materials of varying refractive index, where a bottom interface of the layers is adherent to the metallic base layer. The dielectric layers are periodically spaced on top of the metallic base layer, leaving the metallic base layer exposed in regions. This grating allows for the polarization insensitive reflective properties of the base metallic layer to operate in conjunction with the polarization sensitive diffraction properties of the multilayer grating structure to provide near 100% diffraction efficiency over a reasonable wavelength bandwidth, independent of the polarization of the incident beam.
