  • Publication number: 20170341897
Abstract: Some examples of a document scanning system can include a scanner and a sheet output stacker. The stacker includes an upper surface configured to mate with the scanner configured to scan and transfer contents of a paper document. The stacker is configured to receive paper sheets from the scanner. The stacker includes multiple, upward extending interface housings positioned on the upper surface. The multiple interface housings are configured to be received in respective multiple receiving structures in the scanner, and are configured to mechanically and electrically couple the sheet output stacker and the scanner. The interface housings allow care-free electrical and mechanical pairing of a scanner to a stacker with no tools or adjustments. Simply positioning the scanner on the stacker such that the interface housings are aligned with the receiving structures results in the scanner being automatically guided into place and connected to the stacker through gravity.

  • Publication number: 20170313439
Abstract: Systems and methods for obstruction detection during autonomous unmanned aerial vehicle landings, including unmanned aerial vehicles equipped with at least one video camera, an image processor that analyzes a feed from the video camera to detect possible obstructions, and an autopilot programmed to abort an autonomous landing if it receives a signal indicating an obstruction was detected. In some examples, the systems and methods are in communication with a ground station to perform obstruction detection analysis instead of performing such processing on board the UAV. In some further examples, the landing area includes a ground-based visual target that the UAV can locate and home in upon from the air.

  • Publication number: 20140236282
Abstract: A luminal prosthesis comprises a plurality of radially expandable prosthetic stent segments arranged axially. Two or more of the prosthetic stent segments are separable upon expansion from the remaining prosthetic stent segments and a coupling structure connects at least some of the adjacent prosthetic stent segments to each other. The coupling structure permits a first group of the adjacent prosthetic stent segments to separate from a second group of the prosthetic stent segments upon differential radial expansion of the first group relative to the second group and the coupling structure maintains or forms an attachment between the adjacent prosthetic stent segments in the first group which have been expanded together. A delivery system and methods for deploying the multiple coupled prosthetic stent segments are also disclosed.
