Publication number: 20140196353Abstract: A fishing lure has a body with an eye on a rear end portion. A blade is coupled to the eye by way of rings. The blade has two lateral portions, which are non-planar to one another and join together along a ridge. The ring component allows the blade to rotate between limits, with the blade rotating in one direction to a first limit and then rotating in the opposite direction to a second limit. This causes the blade to rotate then stop and then reverse rotation until the next stop. The rotation-stop movement of blade causes the lure to move erratically, mimicking a fish.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 14, 2014Publication date: July 17, 2014Inventor: Steve Parks

Patent number: 8667741Abstract: Kits for assembling a protective building structure that is resistant to and protects occupants from overhead ordinance detonations, are provided. The kits comprise modular parts for assembling an overhead protective building structure that can be packaged for delivery and assembly in a field location. The kits have self-contained mechanisms for facilitating assembly of the kits with limited construction resources. A pivoting support frame permits the panel members to pivot from a vertical position for filling the panel members with fill material, to a horizontal position on the support frame, to thereby form the overhead cover. Self-raising means are also included in the kits to lift and vertically position the overhead cover along supporting stanchions positioned at each end of the support frame.Type: GrantFiled: January 14, 2013Date of Patent: March 11, 2014Assignee: Dynamic Shelters Inc.Inventors: Harold Warner, Steve Parks

Publication number: 20130290183Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for conducting transactions through a financial network using a ticket at an unattended automated machine. For security purposes a signature detector can be utilized to detect the signature and the user uses a ticket or a card to operate the machine. A card writer can write an amount on the ticket or the card related to the amount of the transaction being done and a calculator can calculate the amount to be written on the ticket or the card and can subtract a user's service charge. A cash acceptor in the machine can accept cash and a cash dispenser can dispense cash.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 14, 2013Publication date: October 31, 2013Inventors: Robin Hayley GUSTIN, Troy W. LIVINGSTON, Namsoo Steve PARK

Publication number: 20130205642Abstract: A fishing lure has a body and a hook. The hook has a shank that extends from the body, a bend and a point. The hook is lying in a hook plane. A brush guard has bristles that extend from the head to a blocking position in front of the hook point. The bristles are spread apart to either side of the hook plane. An elastomeric band around the lure body retains the bristles in a spread apart configuration. The spread apart bristles create a laterally wider brush guard so as to prevent snagging of the hook point no matter what the orientation of the lure in the water might be.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 14, 2012Publication date: August 15, 2013Inventor: Steve Parks

Publication number: 20110109185Abstract: A magnetic core electrical machine includes a plurality of “U”-shaped stator yokes arranged circumferentially with respect to a rotor and either staggered to form a continuous flux return path or displaced relative to permanent magnets of the rotor in order to reduce cogging. Various mechanisms and/or circuits are provided to limit an output of the electrical machine at high speeds, and boost the voltage output at low speeds.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 9, 2009Publication date: May 12, 2011Inventors: John T. Patent number: 7877172Abstract: Instruments or gauges arranged to provide feedback detectable by the peripheral vision of a driver when vehicle operating parameters, such as engine speed, temperature, pressure, and voltage, are in a critical range, include one or more of the following types of instruments or gauges and/or features: (a) a tachometer that not only includes a primary numeric display, but also a secondary display made up of a plurality of discrete lights of different colors, the colors indicating whether the engine speed of a vehicle is within a relatively narrow range of engine speeds acceptable for the roadway leading from a race track to service areas, known as “pit road,” the high and low limits of the range being adjustable to meet pit road requirements at different tracks; (b) an instrument or gauge having a background that illuminates to indicate critical sensor readings; (c) an instrument or gauge having improved handling of sensor abnormalities to prevent false readings; (d) a non-linear analog gauge for a motor vehiclType: GrantFiled: July 29, 2009Date of Patent: January 25, 2011Inventors: John Timothy Sullivan, Steve Parks

Patent number: 7774974Abstract: A fishing lure has a body and a tail. The tail is coupled to one end of the body. The tail has a center portion and an outside edge that is arcuate around the center portion. A gap extends from the outside edge to the center portion. In one embodiment, the outside edge is thicker than the center portion of the tail. When the lure is retrieved, the tail moves back and forth and creates a noise and also causes the body to move back and forth, thus producing a desirable action.Type: GrantFiled: November 20, 2006Date of Patent: August 17, 2010Inventor: Steve Parks

Patent number: 7674352Abstract: A gaseous mixture is deposited onto a substrate surface using a showerhead. A first plenum of the showerhead has a plurality of channels fluidicly coupled with an interior of a processing chamber. A second plenum gas flows through a plurality of tubes extending from a second plenum of the showerhead through the channels into the interior of the processing chamber. The diameter of the tubes is smaller than the diameter of the channels such that a first plenum gas flows into the interior of the processing chamber through a space defined between the outer surface of the tubes and the surface of the channels. The length and diameter of the tubes determine the level of distribution and the molar ratio of the first gas and the second gas in the gaseous mixture that is deposited on the surface of the substrate.Type: GrantFiled: November 28, 2006Date of Patent: March 9, 2010Assignee: Applied Materials, Inc.Inventors: David Bour, Lori Washington, Sandeep Nijhawan, Ronald Stevens, Jacob Smith, Alexander Tam, Nyi Oo Myo, Steve Park, Rosemary Twist, Garry Kwong, Jie Su
